Some say that you can connect a PC monitor to your 360, but where is the hole for the monitor cable all i see is a SCART hole :I

Most consoles use a single proprietairy plug that leads to a breakout box with all the conections like the Xbox HD cables. I am guessing the plug in you want will be on that.

I would guess it would not support VGA out but you never know. I would think it would use DVI for both LCD's and normal TV's (besides component, composite and svideo cables).

It would be best to wait and see. Keep checking for previews or when it is released.

There's a VGA cable coming out, allowing you to connect it to a monitor.

But doesn't HDTV only work in widescreen, is your monitor widescreen?

No, but arent there any PC LCD monitors that are widescreen

I bet there will be a way to make it fullscreen. i mean they make an accessory whose sole purpose is to plug into a monitor. they must know that most monitors aren't wide screen ones, so it makes sense there will be an option. i wouldn't worry about it.

poseyjmac, afaik all HDTVs are -WIDESCREEN-, which means there's NO NEED for Microsoft to include HDTV for non-widescreen television sets seeing as there IS NONE(again, afaik).

As far as i know, it's another friggen animal is kicking.
lol :).
Let me shorten that sentence up for him.
afaik, it's another friggen animal is kicking.

I'm, sure you can hookup the PS2 and the current XBOX with a adapter of some sorts.

Gargantou: Remember not everyone owns HDTV's... At QuakeCon John Carmack asked the audience how many owned HDTV's WAY fewer than he thought raised their hand (and these are the hardcore gamers here!)

Oh, and afaik HDTV != widescreen... However most HDTV's are widescreen (16:9).

The high-definition merely refers to the resolution (with the x360 outputting 720p )

There are "normal" network cables out there, so you aren't forced to buy an HDTV... For best results, you need to have one though. If M$ would cut off all those who don't have an HDTV, then they would be screwing themselves.

Yeah, oh well hopefully we'll see some stores over here lowering the price of a HDTV if you buy it along with the XB360, I mean like I'm willing to spend 10,000 SEK on a 360+HDTV but 15,000(Which's what it'd cost now, which converts as almost 2,000 USD) is kind of beyond my economical reach!>_<

[sarcasm]OMG! Your currency is based on SEKs? That's awesome... unless you're buying something from a guy or woman that looks like one.[/sarcasm]
