A new cam type controller anounced to which you are the controller. It seems like another camera thing but it's pretty neet.

 It just made the new tony hawk game redundant!!

its not a wii ripoff but they cant say they are innovative

now wait for the tons of game that will require for useless features

This is so dumb and gimicky. Microsoft doesn't want to face the fact that there are lots of people out there who just don't like video games. Getting rid of controllers will not change this fact.

Ditto... that was a terrible statement they made.

I'm not having any expectations until it is released. Probably it's just another thing with the same movement-detection-quality as Eye-Toy.

Yeah, I cannot imagine this doing well at all. Do they really think that the kids who play fighting games are going to stop doing the hadouken movement on their dpads and try to to it with their hands in the living room??? No way, NO WAY. Bullshit.

I never got the point of the types of interfaces that make you prance about.

Like that new wii sports or fitness or whatever advert with women being stupid and pretending to work out at a virtual gym by doing exercise...

GO TO THE GODDAMN GYM.

So yeah, consoles are for sitting down and doing little to nothing except on screen.

For everything else, there is Mastercard™ and enough ****ing ambition to get off your arse and do it for real.

oh god lol

I could just picture someone playing that game

this will fail just like the use of the microsoft Camera. a lot of people bought it, used it once and stopped.

Although I'm sure that this is destined to fail, I can't help but remember people saying the same thing about the Wii before its release.

This will either be really great, or really, really shit. But assuming for a second that its motion sensors are on par with the Wii's, this has the potential to at least be a huge sales hit. I mean, the 360 is cheaper than the Wii (which, all things considered, is just ridiculous) and that perhaps there will not be a large number of commercial titles that rely on/fully utilize this, it has a lot of potential for indie games on Xbox Arcade.

Seriously!! Just think of the all the brand new types of shovelware that will be coming soon to a 360 near you!!

Someone will also have to figure out the new 360 equivalent of "waggle." Any takers??

Mid-life respositionings of consoles haven't worked to any significant extent in the past. You're either there on day one to rake in the cash, or you're patching leaks in a sinking ship with whatever cash you can grab. Even if the technology is great, it's too late to take market share back from the Wii with this console. It's more like the last-minute grabs of the Playstation 2's quiz / karaoke titles, with a little bit of Eye-Toy in for good measure.

They said this will revolutionise play for hardcores and casuals. Ignores the fact hardcores are never going to use that thing because it'll only be for Wii-type games. How would you play an FPS? Pointing your finger? And considering the FPS crowd are their biggest market you won't see a massive take up. There are more buttons on a controller than there are feasible replacement body guestures and I will die before I stand whilst gaming.

Also it's blatant Wii competition, with the happy-clean-middle-class-metrosexual-family advert. Except for the problem that Wii is far too much of a brand now to be toppled. Plus, what's to stop Nintendo releasing the Wii 2 before this Natal business finally releases?

The technology powering the thing is fascinating though. Real sci-fi stuff, but it's not gonna replace conventional gaming like they claim. It could serve many other purposes though outside Xbox, which it will, because this technology isn't exclusive. This was all demoed last year at E3 if anyone saw it, except back then it was being used on a PC.

Shake n' Bake? You wiggle your hands, say something to Milo, and then your Xbox overheats.

I find it hard to believe that this is going to work without any tactile response whatsoever. The Wii is gimmicky, but at least it has a little bit of tactile response. If the Wii can't make a lightsaber game because of tactile feedback, what hope does this have?

Certainly innovative though. Despite not having a 360 it'd be nice to see this work. Color me dubious at this point though.
