So, we're having a Xbox LAN in ~2 weeks when most of us are on university holidays and so on and we have ~25 names and some 18 of those have their own XB/TV. The reason we have so many is because we know some people will bail. ;)

My only hub/router/switch which has 16 ports (We will have 16 Xboxs) are some old 10MB hubs (Which where worth tens of thousands back in the day ;)) and I doubt that with 16 Xboxs there will be 0 lag, though with 5 it's fine.

Though.. shouldn't 10MB be fine for just a console ? It won't be pushing much data and we play games online with way less than 10MB connections and they're a-okay but that of course, is a totally different situation.

My brain says it will lag, but my weird logic is telling me that yes, it should be fine.

My last 16port router blew up and they're like $150AUD to buy new last time I checked. D:

I have 3 options:

1) Use old hub and hope it doesn't lag.
2) Buy new hub/router/switch
3) Hook up 3+ routers together so we have enough ports - I've done this before, we had a 8port switch which had 2 4port routers connected to it and it was pretty much fine but it's not something I ever want to do again.

You probably play online games with a 512kb/s connection.
Your old 16 port should be fine, but I think it'd be better to go buy another 16port hub with 100 mb/s lines.
Option 3 is the fun option.

They all should work fine, option 1 MAY have a problem, depends if the old hub works
