Xbox problems

Sorry if i'm starting to annoy anyone, but I have been having problems with my xbox. It will rarely recognize burnout 3, and when it does...its like the buttons lag in the game (I've also tried with crimson skies, it recognizes it but the buttons lag). I'm seriously pissed buecase it was working last night, and now it isnt.

I'm about to go out and buy the ps2 version of this game.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem with their xbox?

I'm not all for paying a $100 flat fee for anything that is wrong with it, even if the problem is just a loose belt for the cd rom tray. I'm just going to get the ps2 version.

My ps2 and gamecube have each worked flawlessly for the past 2 years.
