Today was Microsoft's second quarter earnings call. And with those usually come announcment on the future plans.

In my email I got something from the GDC asking me to come and go to "Microsoft Day" where J Allard (one of the M$ execs of gaming) is going to have something on like the future of gaming and such, most likely going to be how they plan to integrate the XNA framework so that M$ can get PC and XBox users to play with each other.

Addressing a question in which an investor asked about release date, John Connors, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer made the following statement.

“In term of the next Xbox, we haven't announced a release. I think they'll talk about that at E3 Los Angeles in May. They're hard at work on it, but it doesn't have a summer announce.”

So obvioussly 99% of people were expecting this, but now its more solid evidence :) :afro:

Two guys have said it would be impossible for the Xbox 2 to come out this year and have called me foolish for believing all this.
I need some proof to shut those guys up.
One guys said that Microsoft has started working on the Xbox 2 only a few months ago and that it would come out in at least 2 more years.
He doesn't have a lot of proof to support most of the bullshit he says.

Well considernig that stuff concerning xbox2 was like out like a year or two ago (more of the patent BS) I mean most people assumed that xbox2 would be at E3... I'm glad they are going to release date it :)

Tell them that if they had started working only a few months ago, how the hell would they have the development kits out already.

Also tell them how the development kits are sent out so companies can start creating games, so if it was in that early development, it would be impossible.

I hate people like that :|

EA has their first next gen games lined up only for a MS platform, and set for a November release.

EA aren't stupid, either, despite their evilness.

That would rock if they did that.

BTW thanks for the read.
