Xbox360 crashes PS3 midnight launch in France

lol. That's funny. I don't really like 360s even (I own one but I have absolutely no loyalty to them) but they're really on top of their game.

i don't know if it was mentioned, but MS passed out folding chairs for people waiting in line for the PS3's... they had a URL on the back.

oh, i see that this is covered in that article. :p

And the beer thing...

What you can do with the differene in price between the Xbox 360 and the PS3...

Wait, they did the chair thing too (I never checked the site, just saw a photo of the chair ) ? Hahah.

MS > Sony -- I was expecting something more though.

This is fine and all, but just picture yourselves reacting to Sony doing the same thing.

People would be annoyed, like theres probably Sony fans are annoyed in the world, possibly on this forum. What's your point?

I thought this was a thread about a 360 crashing whilst people were waiting for the launch.

D:

360s don't crash. You're another victim of the sony propaganda machine.

We'd be calling them immature and stupid and sore losers! Then we'd rub their nose in the dirt for being meanies. But that's not the case, so no reason to speculate! ;)

This sort of thing is done all the time. Sony did do the same thing outside the Japanese launch of the 360. Its no big deal--its marketing and you'd be a fool to sit around and let your competitor get all the attention. Think of all of the pre-rendered footage Sony showed off at E3 2005 too when they had almost no real footage to show but they still got all of the buzz even when the 360 had some realtime footage to show (pitiful though it was at the time). Good work imho.

This is hardly crashing the party though. Crashing the party would be something like Steve Ballmer with a jetpack flying though the audience distributing free Microsoft Money cards or some such. This is just staying on the ball.
