For all of those Xbox360 owners with a Gold Live subscription, sign up for the Shadowrun beta!

From MajorNelson.com

The fine folks over at FASA Studios have just opened up a public beta for ‘Shadowrun’ and they asked me to spread the word.

This is for the Xbox 360 version, and since it is a Multiplayer Beta you will need to be a Gold member subscriber to participate.

Ready to apply? Here ya go:

1. Visit the beta Web site at http://connect.microsoft.com.
2. Click on "Invitations" on the left-side menu.
3. You will need to sign in using a valid Windows Live ID before you can continue to the "Invitations" page. (If you have already registered for the Connect site, skip to Step 5.)
4. Please read and accept the Terms of Use Agreement then follow the instructions to register for the Connect site.
5. Enter your Invitation ID in the blank field. Your invitation ID is: SHBS-6YMT-YKHC
6. Click "Go."
7. Complete and submit the short questionnaire. Please enter MAJOR1 for the beta code when asked at the beginning of the questionnaire.
8. If you are not redirected immediately to the Shadowrun Beta Selection homepage after completing the questionnaire, click the My Participations link on the left hand navigation bar and then click the Shadowrun program link. This will redirect you to the Shadowrun Beta Selection Homepage.
9. Once you are on the Shadowrun Beta Selection Homepage, you will need to complete the rest of the registration process by signing up for the forums by clicking the Join the Forums button then click the Welcome to the Official Shadowrun Community Forum Sign In button.
10. Wait patiently for us to contact you with further instructions. Check back at http://connect.microsoft.com for further beta announcements.

Please direct all questions to [email protected].

Here are all of the Min Reqs...

The beta is expected to begin early to mid December 2006 and run through March 2007. Currently we are in the process of gathering names of potential participants. To qualify you need:

· Either an Xbox 360 with a hard drive or a high end PC running Windows Vista. We will be publishing the minimum spec for the PC shortly.

· An Xbox Live Gold account.

· Broadband access.

· Enough time to play from home on a regular basis.

· A willingness to communicate on the beta forums.

Game looks alright, and I'll give it a shot. :)

In the Req's I just posted, I realize it says a Vista computer also... However, in the forums a dev posted that the beta is for 360 only... Perhaps they will be testing out some of the Live Anywhere features which is why it would be nice for users to have Vista computers (when they can get them in January).

I tried, but when I hit 16 for the age I couldn't get any further. It wants me to print out some stupid forum and have my parents sign it then fax it back. It's not worth all the effort. I changed the age on the account but it still comes back up with the screen wanting my parents permission before I can sign up for anything... how stupid.

That is why you ALWAYS lie about your age.

Bouncer: How old are you?
Kid: 24
Bouncer: GTFO! *cracks kid's back*

Also, I signed up. It is taking a while to load. :\

EDIT: Signed up and waiting approval/next action.

Pfff, I'm nearly 20 and get mistaken for still being in High School.

Bummer. Well that's just a legal thing where you technically can't sign any legal documents yourself, and people will be signing NDA's, which is a legal contract. They just need your parent's permission to do so.

So glad I don't have to go through that anymore.

Psh, my mom's 38 and she got asked at the movie theater if she was over 18.

Oh and this game looks like shit. And a complete mockery and disgrace of what Shadowrun even is.

omg your mom is in my age group .......is she sexeh?

any word on the pc beta? I'm assuming it'll hit around Feb of next year to coincide with vista release but I'm more interested in details such as if pc gamers will play with xbox gamers ...prepare to be owned if true :)

Hell, I'm 19 and I've been told I look 15-16 before (By 17 year old girls and being told you look young by people younger than you is kind of weird) otherwise basically everyone agrees I look a few years younger than I am. It's good. ;)
