SearanoX said:Dead or Alive just looks like they increased poly counts a little and added a depth of field blur.

Ghost Recon looks awesome
SearanoX said:Ghost Recon 3 looks...poor. The graphics aren't much better than the second game's from what I can tell, and the HUD looks annoying at best. I doubt it's going to actually have a purpose aside from taking up space, unlike Metroid.
Dead or Alive's a little nicer after those screenshots, though still doesn't impress me much. It's probably because I'm used to PC graphics, though.
One thing that really kind of irks me, though, is the lack of originality. Sequel after sequel. If they're going to revolutionise the game world they're going to need something beyond "it looks good." Of course, we have yet to see everything, but it looks exactly like everything else I've seen in the last four years. I want some originality.
SearanoX said:My point is that the difference isn't that large. It looks prerendered, but then, DOA3 looked almost prerendered as well. The difference is miniscule when you consider the technology behind everything.
And the other game is much more impressive, simply due to the scope of it and detail in the characters, despite there being hundreds on the screen at once. That is the kind of leap I was expecting.
