Pretty :)

OMG, we are on the verge of photoreal medieval mass battles.
Just a few more years and it will be like playing a film.
Just imagine massive battles and castle sieges.

I'm impressed by the screens :)

Those pictures are amazing. Imagine Halo 3, Otogi 3, Ninja Gaiden 2 on that powerhouse. Are those photoshopped? I hope not. The Xbox 360 is probably capable of delivering those kind of graphics, but for the other Dead or Alive games, Tecmo sent us screenshot that looked like that but the game didn't turn out exactly the way it was featured.
It still looks amazing.

Not too bad at all but its not as bigger leap ahead as the last consoles were...

Still... Dead or alive 4 is looking good :naughty:

wow

but the dead or alive 4 dont look so amazing as I thought

but sure in motion look best

Pretty purteh :)
But thats what I was expecting so im not really amazed or anything...
And in motion, they could either look even more real, or less real depending on how well things are animated...hopefully more real :bounce:

And we must remeber that these are just the first couple of games. Farther down the line they will look even better.

very true, its like that for all consoles

DOA is the best fighting game for the xbox!!
^serious^

don't even dis it dawg!1!!
^joke^

beautiful screens BTW! thank you for posting them lePobz!

I wonder if they will have a DOA: Extreme Beach Volleyball 2.... :bouncy:

Dead or Alive just looks like they increased poly counts a little and added a depth of field blur.

Um, that's the only difference any of these games will see. There is probably bump mapping and physics as well. These were on the original consoles but it's all just being tweaked up a little. I don't get your argument.

Ghost Recon 3 looks...poor. The graphics aren't much better than the second game's from what I can tell, and the HUD looks annoying at best. I doubt it's going to actually have a purpose aside from taking up space, unlike Metroid.

Dead or Alive's a little nicer after those screenshots, though still doesn't impress me much. It's probably because I'm used to PC graphics, though.

One thing that really kind of irks me, though, is the lack of originality. Sequel after sequel. If they're going to revolutionise the game world they're going to need something beyond "it looks good." Of course, we have yet to see everything, but it looks exactly like everything else I've seen in the last four years. I want some originality.

You want originality? Nintendo's where its at dawg. ;)
First shot is pretty impressive, must be even better in motion.

My point is that the difference isn't that large. It looks prerendered, but then, DOA3 looked almost prerendered as well. The difference is miniscule when you consider the technology behind everything.

And the other game is much more impressive, simply due to the scope of it and detail in the characters, despite there being hundreds on the screen at once. That is the kind of leap I was expecting.

Sorry if I came off as an asshole before. I had some girl issues to deal with and I was in a bad mood. Cheers-

yupp... I love your chicken man.

Can't say that my jaw hit the floor. Not really what I was expecting from a next gen console. Hopefully we'll see more visually stunning games at E3. :)

Remember also none of these guys have the power of the full Xbox360. They have the alpha kits like M$ has stated only has 2 of the 3 CPU's, and half the graphics power of the final (they use an off the shelf top-end GPU ATM, which is half of what it will do). So pretty much, you could say what you are seeing are games on like a Medium (I doubt you could say Low) setting, so the final version will look even prettier!

Also remember that by the fourth-generation of games, there will be new techniques to use in games, and everyone will understand the architecture of the Xbox360, so games will be able to look and run MUCH better by that time :afro:

DOA4 doesnt look as good as it should. Team Ninja needs to bump it up a notch. Faces and skin need more detail/imperfection.

I was a huge fan of DOA2 and DOA3, but I feel that I've overplayed their gameplay. They'll need to switch it up or do a much better job in the GFX department to get my attention.

That other game tho,. oh damn! Look at all those baddies!!
