XP Start Up Problems

I turn my computer on and when it gets to the XP screen with the blue bar it just cycles around and around. The first time I put it in safe mode and then rebooted and it worked but the second time that didn’t work and I had to use system restore to make it boot normally.
Any idea on what’s wrong with it? I'm afraid to turn it off now.

If re installing doesnt work your hard drive might be bad.

Haha I had the same problem, but reinstalled windows which seem to have helped =>
