It keeps crashing on me whenever I try to export ANY .smd file. I'm using XSI 5.0 and the latest SMD exporter (as found on XSI's homepage). anyone else having problems with XSI 5.0 and the SMD exporter?

heh. ok then sorry about that. well the hl2 addon was created for the mod tool which is liek 3.0 to 4.2 or something. 5.0 is very new isnt it? i would suggest psoting on the softimage forums or emailign softimage. and if u get no reply you could always download the mod tool and export to .xsi from 5.0 and import it into the mod tool and then export the smd from there/ and rig it there if neccercery. if you do that make sure its finished and uv mapped coz itll convert it into triangles and i dont know about you but it bloody pisses me off.

Ok, thanks for the advice. That does sound like a bit of work to do for every .smd I want to export but I guess for now, that's my only option.
