XSI and ZA:ss

hey guys im currently working on a mod, and i need to create some machineries(models) to put them in the map... first i started to use MAYA 5 PLE and then figured out that i does support an exporter to HAMMER... then i downloaded EXP for HL2, installed it but i froze at the loading screen... then i tryed to use XSI 4.2 mod tool and i was caught in the same error (like exp for hl2). I read somewhere that if you uninstall ZA:SS (zonealarm security suite) i will work, and i actually did work but my computer was vulnerable to viruses, trojans(not the condoms) and worms... Is there a way to use XSI 4.2 mod tool with ZA:SS

Install something else like blackice, or just patch your system properly and run without a firewall.
