XSI Export Activation???

I've spent the last hour or so, cursing like a sailor, trying to activate the SMD exporter on Softimage|XSI. I filled out their stupid registration form and got my key emailed, but when I try to enter my email and key into the program it just says "Invalid key." So I requested a new key. Same thing. I typed it upper-case, I typed it lower-case, I typed it hopping on one foot...... Nothing. And there's not a thing on that sprawling website of theirs that can help me! :flame:

Has anyone else run into this problem? Can you make any suggestions?

Do you have the new exporter (the Valve Source XSI Addon)? If so I think you need XSI 4.2 (free upgrade from 4). If you have both - then I don't know :/

r u using xsi mod tools 4.2 or r u using xsi exp? i suggest getting the mod tools which r much much better.

Thanks for replying. I'm using XSI EXP for Half-Life 2 (version 4.2), so there's nothing I can upgrade AFAIK. I'll look into this "Mod Tools" thing...

lol xsi exp for hl2 is based off xsi 3.5

the mod tools r based off xsi 4.2

Ohhhhhhh ok. I followed the link in the Valve SDK, and I saw that Mod Tools thing but I didn't know what it was about, so I just shrugged my shoulders and moved on, heh. That needs some clarification. :rolling:
