Does XSI have a way to procedurally convert high-poly models to low-poly models?

I've heard that future versions of HL's XSI will allow for higher poly limits than the current limit of 4000. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Thanks.

Can someone point me to a comprehensive overview of XSI's interface? I'm running through the Cobblestone Alley tut right now and it's going okay, but it seems to make a few assumptions and refers to documents I don't have (or that I might have but don't know where to find them).

An online manual would be ideal.

No biggie if there's no such animal, I just don't want to miss anything if it's available.

Ah duh thanks, I sort of glossed over the Main Window Overview in my haste.

While you're here, could you tell me if there's a way to decrease the tool-tip delay?

i kinda have a question about XSI too
is there a way to make selecting and moving of verteces / edges / faces the way 3dsmax handles these?
the thing is im used to 3dsmax and trying to use XSI really is a hard time for me

I haven't used max for donkey's years... but...

Quick tip: hold down cntrl to toggle selection. makes selecting the sources easier.

Other useful hotkeys:

u - raycast polys
y - rectangle select polys
i - ray cast edges
e - rectangle select edges
t - tag point
m - move point
holding cntrl starts snapping when moving something
q - render region
h - hide something
s - multi-navigation tool
x - scale
c - rotate
v - translate
n - draw new polygon
\ - add edge
num +/- - play with subdivision surfaces
up arrow - play from start
