I would hope so. You wanna know what I find outrageous? Houses in CA, even ones in cruddy neighborhoods, and really old, sort of run down houses(like my grandpas), go for hundreds of thousands of dollars. For instance, my grandpas market value for his house(which is in a decent neighborhood I suppose), is about 300 thousand dollars.

I find that crazily outrageous, and the house is soooo small. It was much bigger when I was a kid, but when I visited this may, it was TINY!

Whereas houses here in texas, for much larger size run in the low-mid hundred thousand price range... Like the house i'm living in now, is about 120 thousand dollars and its very comfortably large. I mean, not crazy, but three decent sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, hallway, foyer, two dining rooms and a nice kitchen. You can get some pretty damn large houses out here for only 180 thousand bucks, and ones in the price range of the CA houses like my grandpas, you can get mini mansions!

But I guess the cost of living is much higher in CA, than in Texas.

Im not a money wolf! I just have high standards Over the summer i was doing electrical work (wiring/hooking outlets and lights up) at some rich dudes horse barn and getting 10 an hour. Keep in mind im only 14, so its a cracker load of money for someone of my age to be making.

Good for you Lemonking. I suppose the wages aren't so bad seeing as things are generally a hell of a lot cheaper in the States compared to what we pay in the UK. How many hours you gonna work a week?

I really need to get a job now I think about it. My parents constant nagging (plus my begging doesn't work anymore) to get a job is driving me to the brink of insanity. Anything, and I mean anything will somehow link to - "GET A JOB".
