As you can see, when it comes to computer setup, nothing goes the way it should do with me. I have just today recieved my new motherboard, video card and cpu. Everything has been fitted properly, but when I boot up, it goes through the initial start-up routines then a blue screen appears which talk about problems with the hard drive, a part of it saying that it needs to be configured properly before restarting. I can get onto the bios before this error appears but Im stuck after that. I know the last motherboard and video card's software are still on my previous harddrive but I doubt that could be the problem. Any ideas?

Actually that prolly is the problem. Usually, if not always, you have to reformat your hard-drive and re-install windows when you get a new mobo.

hmm, how do you reformat your hard drive?

Go into the BIOS and make sure your PC is set to boot from CD/DVD.

Then put your windows CD into whatever optical drive you want to use and reboot.

Then follow the on screen instructions and your done.

Also make sure you have any required drivers before hand, unless you have another PC to get them from (if you aren't using the ones that came with the hardware or want to have the latest version).

k will do, kinda sucks ass really since my hard drive has been with me for many years and contains A LOT of stuff

You should backup your stuff on cd's, because cases like these can happen. I do it, I've had similar problems like these such as viruses that spam my HDD with random crap & I had to reformat; but luckly I backed it up & came fully prepared. But then again there was time's I wasn't prepared at all & lost all my stuff. :(
