Ok heres a tricky one. I bought the uk retail copy of HL2, brought it back to uni, installed it but the bastard uni seems to be blocking steam or at least it says "cannot create an account in offline mode" even though i'm connected to the internet. Not sure if thats clear but essentially I can't create a steam account because it refuses to believe I'm online. I have no firewall or anti-virus programs running whilst I do it. Anyone know how I can set up my connection to allow steam or if theres a way round it? Much appreciated! Stupid valve and steam
