Justin Timberlake as Booboo? What the hell is going on here.

I'm getting sick of animated kids movies that ruin their source material.

I find it sad that Justin Timberlake does a better Booboo than Akroyd does Yogi. And why the hell do we even need Akroyd and Timberlake to voice those characters? The original voices were so generic that many, many voice actors could do a better job. Yet the powers that be must use actual stars, and the stars who are willing to lend their voice to a pretty obvious shit fest must be pretty small, thus the bad voices.

Did anyone else get the first impression that he was taking a piss into the rangers office when he exclaimed PB&J?

Swear to god it said pee pee and jay :l

Even I do a better Yogi than Aykroyd.

Because kids give a shit about Dan Akroyd.

Oh wait, haha, they don't.

Honestly will never understand why they get big name stars to voice kid's films...

Uh, Dan Akroyd hasn't exactly been the biggest name for... 15 years or more. The thing you gotta remember is, the parents are the ones who choose what movie to see. Yogi Bear and that guy from Ghostbusters? aw yea

I don't think kids give a shit about Yogi Bear either...

..................................

This is a joke, right?

.....

It's not? Ugh.

What in heaven's name is up with Hollywood wanting to do a whole bunch of remakes of old classic cartoons? I didn't mind them doing it the first 2, maybe 3 times but let's not get carried away here. And for me, most of these live action versions of these older cartoons don't work well (well, Transformers is an exception. Too bad the execution was lackluster). In the live action Chipmunks movies they Chipmunks look more like animated characters that popped out of a TV screen, and so does Yogi here. The comedy is barely there and it seems like they rely on forced humor. Also, why do I have this feeling that someone in Hollywood is considering doing a newer "My Little Pony" movie?

True that, but I mean in general, ie - Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman in Happy Feet (also Robin Williams, but that guy will do anything now). As for parents choosing the movie, I somehow doubt that's usually the case. Just try and imagine this conversation taking place -

"Mummy, I want to see the Chipmunks!"

"**** you, we're seeing Horton, it has Steve Carrell in it."

I don't think kids give a shit about Yogi Bear either...
This too. Point being: why is any of this? WHY IS?

ANSWER ME, HOLLYWOOD.

GET.
THE ****.
OUT.

Starring my reactions, in order of appearance:

wait... Yogi? Yogi Bear? Did I read that right? Yogi Bear?

Dan Aykroyd... Holy shit! I don't even care that it's another rehash of a boring cartoon, this'll be awesome.

Hm, these comments aren't positive at all, as expected. Lemme finish reading the thread before I watch.

Ok, the animation is jarringly fast compared to the cartoon. Not unexpected.

That's the best Yogi Dan could do? I could do a better yogi... Hell, Booboo was better. What is this shit.

Hang on, there was not a single ball joke in that trailer, but there were a couple butt jokes. Huzzah, high brow humor is back again!

Dan should have just done the Elwood voice. It would be sooooooo much better.

Wait?? THIS IS a JOKE RIGHT?!!??!?!

that was a TERRIBLE yogi aswell. My jaw has pretty much struck the floor

It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're

SMAAAAARTER THAN THE AVERAGE BEAR!

It depends if they've seen reruns of the cartoon or not. Are there even channels that show it anymore? I haven't seen a Yogi cartoon in over a decade.

well my childhood was raped so long ago that I become inmune to this...
