Title says it all. You're going to replace them in 6 months anyways so why pay $150-$300 for shoes, like Nikes. Damn. It's totally retarded. 50 bucks, fine; 70 bucks fine, but not $200. Think of all the things you could buy with $150 (after buying a $50 pair of shoes): 3 games, a Nintendo DS (but don't, those suck), clothes, an MP3 Player, PC upgrades, etc. And if you have that much money to blow on shoes, you deserve to die anyways.

and thats why i always buy the leather flip-flops. not to expensive and can last a decent amount of time.

Q_onfused, you're a man after my heart. (AND MY EXPANSIVE SHOEZ LOLROFL)

Ahem.

Also, what do people find horrible about wearing sandals and socks AT THE SAME TIME (god forbid me)?

I mean, I'm walking around town and some people are staring at me as if I was covered in shit.

Anything above $50 is too much IMO. I like Converse shoes. They last me a long time and they are comfortable.
Something that I find funny, is people who are walking in the grass, dirt, etc with their all-white shoes, yet when someone accidentally kicks them, they get pissed off.

I just get whatever shoes appeal to me.
Don't about the brand.
As long as it's under $60.

The last pair of trainers I bought:

comfy pair of stan smiths (although they still need to be dirtier!). £50 (or $100-ish), which is about my limit.

I too do not see the point in spending £100 on a pair of trainers unless they do genuinely give you some performance gain in your career as an athlete.

My shoes cost $7 dollars and have lasted me for three years. Nice, black sneakers. Very simple, very comfortable.

agreed

I hav see shoes that are super expensive and sure not last much

but also I hav see shoes that looks like worth it for example a camping boots that was made by a hard material, but I dont know how to compare the price whit dollars

You forgot to say they can also be used as an insect repellent :p

But vans make your feet look as wide as a house :/

Trainers, brown shoes, black shoes, wellies. That's all I should ever need (unless I need some walking boots).

anything around £20-£30 that is comfy and i like the look of i get. Anything near £100 is over the top imo

Sandals FTW!

Or walking boots. Man you can do anything with walking boots (even moonwalking.)

I <3 my K-Swiss.

i use to wear k-swiss but then they didnt make them in my size anymore :(. so it was either have to send a custom order (which is expensive) or just go to flip-flops

what do you have like size 30 feet?

Do you only have flip flops to wear?

nah, when my parents actually take me to church they decided to make custom shoes for that reason because they dont approve of sandals in church

Do certain shoes have more specific names? If so what are they? I'm only familiar with the terms sneaker and sandal. I call everything else a shoe. Fancy shoes, ugly shoes, odd-looking shoes, and so on.

He did. He also had long hair, a beard, and wore a dress. Sounds like a commie bastard to me.

what is wrong with Jesus being Commie?

In the UK, we don't really use sneaker, and use trainer to describe just about every piece of 'athletic' footwear (i.e. anything that you could buy in a sports shop that isn't already desginated as a running shoe for example).

I had a 4-year old pair of skechers before I got my Vans, Skechers ftw

Weird. I had a Skechers pair for 2 years straight. Funny.

My step-brother is obsessed with shoes. Hell, his desktop wallpaper is always some kind a uber expensive useless sports shoe.
