The half-ton bull, called Opiparo, struck after Julio Aparicio lost his footing and stumbled while carrying out a pass with is red cape in a packed Las Ventas bullring.

One of the animal's horns tore into his throat and punched through the bottom of his mouth as the crowd screamed in horror at the bullfight last night.

The force of the impact lifted the matador into the air, puncturing his tongue and fracturing his jawbone, before the bull threw him to the sand.

Best of luck to this guy and his recovery, but please stop ****ing stabbing bulls to painful deaths in such a brutal fashion.

I like to think Vegeta completely masterminded this and was trying to lure you into saying gore. Regardless, this thread can only go downhill after such a pun.

Not here. Every time I see a picture of some matador getting hurt, I'm kind of glad. I don't care about the culture aspect, it's ****ing disgusting what they do to these animals.

Was talking about the crowd actually, where it said the crowd reacted in horror.

I mean come on people, you came to watch something get stabbed brutally. Just because that something is a human, doesn't mean you have to change face!
 
What I find even more idiotic than the whole arena thing, is the tradition to have a ton of people run from the bull in the streets all the way to the arena... What the hell is wrong with these people?

He's also incredibly lucky that he even managed to get off the horns. Would have really sucked if he got stuck on there and then bull kept thrashing around with his horns elevated.
 
Got no sympathy for the guy, but until he makes it out of intensive care it might be a bit of a stretch to call him 'lucky'. Apparently he's back breathing on a lifeglug machine atm.

also I think in southafrica there is a similiar tradition which is of people trying to strangulate a bull or something,infact tons of this stuffs exist in various countryes,like camel fights in afganistan

To be honest, I'm willing to bet that the reporter simply wrote it like that to be nice about it, because I'm sure the crowd's reaction was utter delight. Its like racing events, people go to them to see crashes and other bad things that happen. Its the best part of these kinds of charades. Its all boring, lame shit until someone gets skull****ed by a bull's horn.
