here's some buildings that i've done in the past, never textured them tho. I don't like texturing much and I'm not good at doing the actual 2d work. These were for a mod that i was going to do myself for savage, but got busy doing an actual "Official" mod for savage.

more buildings from the same mod that i was working on for Savage

a basic sword for the same mod. just slapped a planar map on this one

concept "borrowed" from the swordfish from cowboy bebop. never completly finished the model tho.

A trainwreck scene, can't say from what mod tho ;) (dam NDA's, probably could get in a little bit of trouble from posting just that)
all of the models fit togeather, and are used ingame (the track is split up into pieces so mappers can place them wherever they please. the train cars also fit onto the track)

A nice katana that i did, just ripped the textures off of photos. the model is like around 300 polys i think

That is...

That's probably less then 10 percent out of all of the stuff that I've done. I have a dozen more up that I didn't post, plus more on my computer that I don't have screenshots online, plus the dozens more that have long been deleted, etc.

(That's only about 20 different models...)

(I'd delete a few of them, but I can't edit that reply.)

well this thread is like for stuff ur most proud off and thats a lot i mean its good work ...tho i dont dig the material.

He posted some stuff and it looks great. Relax :afro:

Your best model work thread

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Put your best models n stuff you've created in here. Make sure its work _you've_ made though, no cheating.

I see no mention of a limit on how many models you can post. The only requirement is that they're some of my "best", and that they're mine.

Some great models guys, I wish I was that good :( I've been working with ms3d till now, now I'm getting into 3dsmax, hopefully I'll have something to post here soon :)

Sir Phoenixx is right. There's no limit on how many, or how good, so long as its your own work and YOU think its the best you can do. It's a good way for people to see what level they might be at, not a competition or pissing contest. Post what your proud of. So long as the thread isn't spammed or misused there's no problem.

If i did post my best work, I'd have to kill whoever sees it, its top secret

sorry for the double post, could a kindly mod delete the first one. ta

not the absolute best work i've done but they're the most recent and decent ones.

Neko, how long and with how much effort did it take you to get to that stage?

*yearns for modelling knowledge*

it will take u a day to make each of them ...well a day or two .....at the starting level.
and it will take u a good 2weeks to learn ....correct me if im wrong.

I've checked out IchI's VTMs, and made some headway with the 9000. He comments that not everyone does it this way; are there other ways? This method seems pretty reliant on source material - a weak point?

of course there are other ways, mind you modeling weapons isn't hard, so u can use quads, ngons and whatnot without really worrying about turning edges and all taht crap, since everything is pretty much flat. you cna start off with a box and extrude shit, or start off with a spline and create the profile of it and go from there. Lots of methods, u can probably make up your own. Modeling organic stuff is where it gets interesting.
