Mr Alifi said:"When I asked him: 'What are you doing there?', he fell off the back of the goat, so I captured and tied him up".
JNightshade said:First of all, Raziaar, geographically speaking, Egypt is in Africa. It's just so heavily populated by Muslims that it gets lumped in with the Middle East. And I don't know what the "G8 Definition" is, but everything I've seen goes by the "traditional" definition.
Also, what in the living hell does "getting on my goat" mean? o_0
kirovman said:I think he means "Gets my goat"
You know, like "Grinds my Gears" or whatnot.
OvA said:Goat sodomy is the answer to the world's overpopulation problems.
Greatgat said:Well, if that was an enforced solution, I think more people would opt for abstinence maybe...
mortiz said:There is no 'Middle-East' anymore. Middle-East is starting to mean countries that are dominantly Muslim Arab in ethnicity as oppose to a location in the world. 'Middle-East' is just a buzz word used to describe "Those terrorist countries".
Raziaar said:What, are you kidding me? You may use it for that, but I certainly don't.
mortiz said:Lot's of people are starting to use it like that. When was the term used for anything positive? The Middle-East has become associated with terrorists and corrupt oil tycoons.
Evo said:Puts new meaning on the phrase 'sheep shagger'
kinda
Raziaar said:It's also associated with being the cradle of civilization. Incredibly rich and amazing history stretching far into the past.
The Monkey said:Middle-East is not a continent of its own, it's made up by countries in western Asia and northern Africa.
Poor goat![]()
mortiz said:I'm not disputing the history that originated in that region, but you have to remember that in those days it wasn't called the "Middle-East", there were realms such as Persia and Arabia. The term "Middle-East" is an invention of western civilization, our civilization, and to many westerners it carries bad connotations. The 'Middle-East' is used by politicians and the media to identify a region of great instability and a possible future hazard for our nice little western society. It's been done in such a way that your average Jo's that you'd find on the street in one of our western cities wouldn't associate the term 'Middle-East' with that historical and cultural richness.
