Newegg i love but has a shitty return policy on a lot of items.
Apple Lately I don't know what the **** they're thinking. I've also never had so much trouble regarding their products, my brand new $300 ipod touch can barely sync any data from my pc, every week or so there is a slow as hell update that i usually opt out of and it feels more sluggish than ever before
Microsoft you have a god damned update every day and some require to restart the computer, i usually wait about a week or so and they accumulate so then i can do it all at once.

Uh, they don't call it 'Patch Tuesdays' for nothing. Windows updates are once a month, if necessary, unless you just installed the OS recently and need a lot of patches to catch up.

Maybe you specifically asked for Microsoft updates* in addition to Windows updates? *(Office updates/GFWL/drivers for all hardware, etc.)

Maybe you are thinking of Windows Defender (which I uninstalled for a better option). Security software needs to be kept up to date.

Best Buy's return policy is the same as any other retail store like it. Prices are again, par for the course for retail shops, but they have some really fantastic sales sometimes. Their Reward Zone is perfectly logical, I dont see how you can be confused by it. One point per dollar you spend at Best Buy. DURR SO CONFUSE. I have their Best Buy Mastercard which is more complex, but still retardedly easy to understand. Three points for every dollar at Best Buy, one point per dollar at Grocery stores and restaurants, and one point per two dollars on everything else. The fact that you miss sales because they notify you early is a fault of yours, not theirs. The only thing I can't attest to is their customer service, because I've never really needed it. I bought a new phone from them and had to talk to the phone guy who set me up with my plan and whatnot, and he was pleasant and helpful without trying to sell me all sorts of bullshit like at other stores I've been to.

last time I tried to return an item to best buy they charged me a restocking fee. Target doesn't do this, Walmart doesn't do this, Toys R Us doesn't do this, Kohl's, JC Pennys, etc. Regarding their Rewards system

I remember a program I used to see my friend use, and it was like spend $5,000 dollars of credit card purchases and get a "FREE $50 Giftcard" I love using cash/debit now. I hope to god you pay off your balance every month

First off, Target does. Sears does. Macy's does. Home Depot does. Radio Shack does. Apple does. Newegg, Amazon, Overstock, and toy r us for online purchase all do. Some places may have better return policies, but Best Buy's is pretty much par for the course. Plus it only applies if you're returning an opened item when its fully functional. Just say its doesn't work right and you get all your money back. You shouldn't be buying electronics that you haven't researched and tried anyways, so its never, ever been an issue with me.

The restocking fee only is for opened items. That still leaves people scamming points for unopened. Still, I don't see how that would be confusing.

Not really. If you shop there a lot then ultimately you'll save money. Its a free program, so why the hell not? I mean, if you don't know how to take advantage of it then yeah its useless, but either way you can't call it a scam.

Again, not a scam. If you don't know how to use them appropriately then don't use them. I pay my full bill every month. I don't buy anything on the card that I can't afford to pay in full within the month unless its a big ticket item (which I wouldnt be able to pay in full right away with cash). Plus having triple points means for every $80 I spend I get a $5 gift certificate. And having points on every single dollar I spend outside of best buy means I'm getting a shit ton of coupons for buying shit I was going to buy regardless. Being in the rewardzone membership also gives you access to member-only coupons and sales. PLUS as a gamer I take advantage of promotions where they give 250/500 bonus points ($5/$10 certificates) for buying certain new, big-name games. I challenge you to find a better deal than that.

I have found better deals than Best Buy. Instead of spending $60 on a game I usually wait about a week and head to my local used game store and get it for like $45 used with virtually no scratches on it (I'm not talking about Gamestop although their deals aren't that bad). Their return policy is amazing and I have yet to use it because all the games I've bought from them have worked. For brand new games, there are only a handful of games that I'll buy day 1. When spending over $50 there they give me a $5 off coupon for my next visit, and nearly every visit I get free game swag....t-shirts, a free retro game, etc. Every City has small shops like this and hope you stumble into one someday. Also at this store, new releases usually start at $5-$10 less than retail

I also use amazon and ebay for the harder to find items. but otherwise the small mom and pop shops have the best deals. over a month ago I got myself Castlevania for about $41 used 5 days after release. I looked at the back and saw not a single scratch. Also I walk into my local Best Buy and ask for assistance and the guys act like I'm killing them. At the local game store I can walk in and actually have an intelligent conversation about games. they also have tournaments and prizes every weekend so yeah I do know of a better place other than Best Buy. That is why I cringe every time I heard the name
