Which Battlefield game is your favorite?

I just bought the complete collection which comes with BF1942 + expansions + Vietnam (plus the WWII mod), and after playing BF2 and 2142, I'd say the best of all is Vietnam.

There is so much more depth when you play it compared to BF2 and 2142, the only thing I would rather have changed is squads (adding them in), but it's not really that important. I should also mention that when you fly a jet YOU GET FREAKING RADAR. They can get radar in Vietnam (60's), but not in 2007 (BF2)? F*** that.

Vietnam was their best work, it went downhill from there. I have zero confidence in Battlefield 3.

Oh yea, if you enjoy a mod from a certain game (pirates for 1942, desert combat from 1942 or w/e), just vote for the game it belongs to.. That goes for expansions as well.

EDIT: Damn forgot Modern Combat for the consoles.. Just vote BF2 for Modern Combat, it's the same game.

WTF? They're very different, watch a video with Modern Combat or something.

Eh, I've seen like 30 seconds of gameplay, and it looked alot like BF2.. I guess Modern Combat isn't on the list then. You can't vote for it?

Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam, the mods man... the mods.

Forgotten Hope? Desert Combat? Battlefield Pirates? Action Battlefield? Galactic Conquest? Interstate 82? Dice City? Point of Existence? Eve of Destruction?... the list could go on.

Plus, not to mention that the vanilla games were so awesome too.

BF1942. Those huge maps with all those great toys. Pilotable ships. Spotting for artillery or mortars. I'd love a remake.

Project Reality. Yeah, that's right, a mod. The game is so extensive and detailed that I believe it shoukd have it's own spot as an official BF game.

Tough call. I'm tempted to say 1942, but I've probably had more fun/played more in BF2. The squads kind of push it over the edge...1942's still more epic though.

Definitely BF1942. I played the hell out of that game, and it was so much fun. The jeeps were so fun to drive. Desert Combat was amazing too, the oil rig map was great.

Having said that I do like BF2 a lot, and 2142 was entertaining, so I don't mind the direction they're going.

Nothing will EVER beat the planes in that game. One of my best gaming experiences is flying one of the American bombers and strafing Japanese carriers.

1942 is by far the best; BF: Vietnam was among the worst games I have ever had the misfortune of playing.

Wow, you need to play more games then.

BF:V was and still is damn fun.
Dropping napalm on a heavily occupied area only to see your kill score slowly start to climb up.

The only thing I don't like about BF:V is that homing rockets are near impossible to use and avoid.

Best feature of BF:V imho was the music you could play while piloting a vehicle. Driving around on a tiny scooter with Ride of the Valkyries on was epic :D

In jets, yes they are (if the person shoots from behind you) because they suck at turning, but in helicopters I am pro. I don't mean to brag or anything, but the only vehicles I use are choppers and jeeps, and in an assault huey you can't take me down. Only if you've got like 10 guys with homers, otherwise I can dodge them easily (just fly sideways, simple).

Yes.

It also gives you a good feeling playing War with a transport huey full of guys, or driving a jeep through enemy territory with a guy in passenger and gunner seats. The game is so pro..

The Napalm was next to useless, you could stand in the middle of the flame and you would only slowly take damage.

Besides the crap gameplay, it was about the least historically-accurate game ever.

It wasn't really trying to be historically accurate.
Aside from the fun-facts in the load screens.

The napalm is pretty effective though, I don't know what version you played but napalm did an immense amount of damage over time.

Even if you got of the flames afterwards... you wouldn't living much longer.

The gameplay was great, it's BF1942 in 1960s/70s Vietnam.

1942. 2142 is fairly good and very addictive but kinda sloppy. Vietnam was ok, but not great.

Cant remember how many times i would ram aircraft carriers into one another so that both would start to glitch wildly. :p

hated 1942, loved BF2...I know what gets my vote :(
