I was a little bored so I decided to make a topic, please do post the name of your favourite DOS game, preferarly along with a link to a page about it, I recommend http://www.the-underdogs.org/

Mine is the good old RPG/Strategy hybrid "Dune"

Post yours :)

The Settlers. It was really great with a friend. Can't get it to work on XP, got it working at some point but then it didn't work again.

If it's DOS and doesn't work on XP try downloading DOSBOX, it's a really great DOS emulator for Windows(XP also), and any DOS games I haven't gotten to work running ordinary 'DOS' mode on XP has worked with DOSBox :)

OMG even before DOS when I had a computer that ran on tapes :D that was quality. Ladderman and Pacman was the bomb! Granny's garden and many more.
DOS games: hmm well there was some things but i cant remember what they were called most of them were platformers.

I dunno...ether Doom, Duke Nukem, Shadow Warrior, or Blood (forgot the full name).

X-Com: UFO Defense, I guess. Still haven't beaten it yet, though.

Ok I need a good fps dos game to pass the time away...whats a good one other than the ones I just listed?

Little Big Adventure was pretty damn brilliant ("Relentless" for you US-boys).

Never liked Return to Zork. It had too many puzzles where if you miss something right at the start, then you cannot do stuff later on and have to restart the game.
Older Zork games were better, and Zork Grand Inquisitor was good.

i used to have wheel of fortune, and jepordy for DOS, it was bomb. Also this jatpack game, kinda fun.

Some good calls in here,. Dune, Scorched Earth,. of course Doom and Duke,.

But my all time fave is definitly Star Control 2.

This game is so good that, due to incompatability with modern OS's, there is a sourceforge project to rebuild it. The latest build is very playable, and they're gettin very close. The project is still quite active and has an active community.

If you remember the glory and comedy that was Star Control 2, check out The Ur-Quan Masters.

Duke Nukem :)
i can't remember the name of the game.. but it was an adventure.. side scroller.. a rabbit with a gun.. err.. can't remember name.. :E

Nibbles

Worms
Duke Nukem (The original side-scroller).
