Just got back from working overtime and wanted to have a stress-free drive home. So i slapped on some Bruce Hornsby

I swear, 'The Way It Is' could possibly be THE best driving song ive ever heard;

Random i know, but meh. What are forums for eh?

Anyone have any favourites???

[Edit] also one of the greatest piano rifts ever?

During the day, I'll listen to anything.

I need something more specific for night driving though. Certain kinds of atmospheric drum 'n bass or neurofunk. Anything that almost has a "cruising" feeling to it.

Best song? No idea. Probably one I made.

I might be insane, but listening to 1979 by the Smashing Pumpkins during a night drive is damn trippy.

totally agree about "the way it is", one of the greatest songs to come out of the 80's. :)

Sweet home alabama is quite a nice road trip song. :) :)

i like stuff like, running free by iron maiden. or atmospheric drum n bass like absinthe said

I cant help but think of Placebo everytime i hear that song. Guess that guitar rift sounds similar to some of their stuff, but anywho.

And lol @ Dalamari.

Makes a great 'group singing' song when pissed in a nightclub.

Press go advanced and press the Youtube button, but the URL between the tags.

PHM = Pretty Hate Machine, Nine Inch Nails' second release.

when I'm really driving, I have no music on. Only gets in the way of the really good sounds.

but when i'm not, typically 80's, most recently it's been the new Bond intro song.

A Flock of Seagulls - I Ran

Best song of the 80's, I think. Except for maybe Video Killed the Radio Star or Dance Hall Days.

Ridin' Dirty
Heh, this track came on the radio today just as I was doing 120mph on the motorway whilst overtaking speeding middle-lane hoggers... Thought it quite appropriate.

The album Scenes From a Memory by Dreamtheater

Sounds like shit, but REALLY fun to just jam out to it in your car with people looking at you like you're nuts.

teddybears and iggy pop - "punk rocker" is a ****ing great driving track

I haven't heard Pepper in yeeeaaars + that video is messed up at 3:27 (clock runs sdrawkcab?).
I don't see how that can be a driving song unless you are really high. :S

It's a driving song for me because I first heard it on the radio on a road trip staring at the Texas cotton fields going past. It just reminds me of driving for some reason...and cotton.

I cruised with his "Room For Squares" CD from Wisconsin to Georgia... Been a fan of John Mayer before he got famous while he was still playing in bars in Chicago :)

Quite possibly one of the best guitarists ever IMHO.

Love it :O

I'm uploading two videos of my own to YouTube now, I'm tired of not being able to find these classics on there in good quality and the proper version.

Expect a future post.

And I just found this one too......so awesome
