Your Half Life 2 Drawen Art Work

I start this thread where you can post your HL2 drawen art work.

You'll have to attach it, linking images from there doesn't appear to work correctly
 
It must be Image Station then i do plan b upload it from my forum.
 
I have done it now i am just uploaded it to this message or attached in other words.

Yeah, their one of the growing number of sites that get bitchy if you link to images from them externally.. I can see their side of things but it still sucks :(
 
Some people like my art work and some people h8 it like the old saying, thats how it goes or life is never fair.
 
It's nice. I am just saying that he is the wrong race.
 
I like it, it's got a unique look to it. But if you make the shading neater it'll look better, don't think you have to rush to finish a picture. Keep it up
 
Looks pretty good, but some of the parts seem to not line up really. Take a look at this for what I mean. The mouth seems to be in the wrong position, too far to the right. Good luck on your next one.
 
I've got a buttload. (PART 1)
Barney02 is the oldest. Done in Paint Shop Pro.
Alyx Cartoony was my first Image done in Photoshop.
 
heavy combine.jpg , Gordon Face-01.jpg , combine0001.jpg are really well done.
 
This is a piece done a couple weeks ago, all done WITH MOUSE ONLY, in Flash MX, in about two days... Wish I woulda been here for the cell shaded competition, the winner just took a pic and did "Trace Bitmap" Lame....

Well hope ya like it, I just got a 6x8 inch tablet, so expect some really cool work coming up :)

Nice job ace, that was me, and no i didn't use 'trace bitmap'. If you would have even bothered reading my post.... I too used "mouse only"


Okay guys, this is really my first attempt at vectorizing anything. I didn't use any filters, or trace bitmap. I did it all by hand... but I started running out of time, so I had to leave some things out . I'll try to update it though, and since its on my server, it will update on here. Let me know what you think!

I spent at least 2 or 3 days working on this in flash. Trace bitmap never turns out looking this clean, there are always artifacts and things. Luckly for me, I saved most of the parts as different layers, so it made it easy for me to go and animate them all coming together in this movie.

How 'lame' is it now? I think you need to slow down and try reading more into things more before you go off and insult someone elses work like you just did.

Wasn't that me who a few weeks ago went to the trouble of trying to submit your work to the fan art page for you? After I was contacted by via pm, I allowed you to send your submission to my email. I then went to the trouble of uploading it to my personal server so that when I sent a message to Munro requesting it be added to the fan art page, it would be easily accessable for him. He has too much going on right now to deal with updating the fanart page though, so it was never uploaded. In reference to your artwork, I still think it's pretty good but certain aspects such as the combine text kind of throw it off. I'd take that off or clean it up a little if I were you. I like the style with the offset lines and fills but it seems somewhat overdone on the car in places and top right of the piece. Good job overall though.

So anyways, blatently insulting other artists work just doesn't fly here. I try to give everyone else respect and expect some back in return. I want to have a positive environment here where people aren't afraid to be experimental and show new things without getting insulted. I don't hold grudges though and you aren't breaking any rules, I just think what you said was 'lame'. Good luck on your next piece of work.

Thanks ;). There were more layers, but I got lazy and grouped them into just the main ones...hehe.
 
Well, I am sorry, but I didn't really know. I looked at the hall of champoions and therefor didn't see anything, so you can't really blame me... Even if I did miss your post all I said was 'lame', not totally bashing you, like with caps and the works... I know what you mean with those "artifacts", and even just cleaning up those would be a worthy effort ;)

Yeah I'm gonna work on my picture later, right now I'm designing a HL2 Animation, its gonna be sweet. :D

Looks pretty good man. Good luck with that, animating people can be a very tedious project :rolling:
 
Yeah, but the main problem I usually have with people is proportion, that's why I developed this technique, so now everything will be in place. :)
Still takes a while to trace, and btw that whole swf was made before I got my tablet.
And all with the pencil tool too. No create line-bend it method.

Indeed a very cool style, and if you can take some constructive critisism, gordon doesn't have that big of a cleft in his chin.
Nicw work though man, wanna see some more.

I think that it would be a ton better if his shoulders were a little smaller. His a bit too broad, aside from that, I love this peice.
 
heh thx, I like it too..

I did it in one sitting, eventhough it took quite a while.
I guess it's more fun when you draw something you like :)








And yeah, he's a bit too broad... I don't have the energy to change that right now.. I'll do something new and show you instead..
