i hate the poison zombie, that thing is almost unkillable and very accurate, and even if you shot it with 3 smg nades the crabs on it will still be alive.
 
Yeah They Tend To Have A Strong Will To Live (Erm They Are Already Technically Dead...). However The Most Deadly And Annoying Enemy Is The Barnacle (Even IF You Do See Them). Always In The Way, Making Me Waste Ammo On Killing Them...
 
I have to agree with the Poison Zombie... I mean, those Black Headcrabs were at the top of my "most hated" list already, and then I came up against that Tank of a zombie and it had 4 of the goddamned things attached to it. Ouchies.

Manhacks were one of my most hated... but their chopping antics simply become... kind of cute towards the end of the game, once you have that Grav Gun :)
 
The fast-zombie...damn fast-zombie...always running up and jumping and clawing and hitting and making me lose health.....I digress...whoever it was that tested the damn things, then decided that it was fun to fight them, needs to be fired, re-hired, then fired again.
 
Fast zombie. That sound... it still haunts me.
 
I think i also go for the poisen zombie, hard to kill and had to many headcrabs atached, thank the moon for grenades.

Manhacks are fun, when you don't have your gravity gun, you can kill them easilly with your crowbar (and show them al the courners of the room :D) and with you Gravity Gun, you can use them as ammo :D.

And those fast zombies are a little anoying, but there nothing a crowbar can't cure: it cured my hate for those fast zombies :p
 
When I 1st Saw A Fast Zombie I Was Like WTH And Then Before I Realized It He Knocked Me Off The Building. Grr. Didn't Save Either..
 
I never thought I would be freaked out by zombies before I played HL2. But then I saw poison and fast zombies.

I just remember hearing the fast zombines and seeing some things leaping on rooftops, all of a sudden they jumped towards me, ran up to me really fast. Really scary.

Not as bad as the poison Zombie though, I heard him a lot of times before I first saw him. Then when I saw him, I was going to blow him up with a barrel, but he somehow threw something at me, and took my health down to 1! It was a poison headcrab. I hated them since that moment, and I'd prefer to run away rather than stick around and fight them.
 
Fast Zombies: And sounds associated with them. First you hear the distant howl as they announce your presence to the others, then, you can hear the sound of chain link fences being hit. Next thing you hear are the horrid mad dog growls as they systematically try to tear you apart, limb from limb, ripping away at your flesh, exposing your very soul! Yea, has to be the Fast Zombies!
 
Goddamn!!! Manhacks!!! I hate them!!! its so hard to kill them especially in the early levels of the game.
 
Manhacks early on, because they're hard - playing on the hard difficulty, 2 crowbar shots ain't enough for them, and they deal good damage.

However, poison zombie is my choice. The poison headcrabs creep me out for some reason, have that annoying attack, and can survive a Magnum shot.... I hate them. And then the poison zombie throws these things at you AND you have to kill it itself, too - and it can take a heckload of fire.

I'm gonna have to agree with you. Poison zombies were my second choice, but at least with those you have time to run away screaming like a little girl. With the fast zombies, once they see you, you have no choice but to try and shoot them before they kill you horribly....

Aside to The Strange One: why do you type every word with a capital letter at the front?
 
Manhacks are the most annoying...

The fast zombies are soooo scary... They are sooo fast.. And the sound they make when they are attacking you or whatever... OMG scariest sound EVER. I just want to get away from them. Freaks me out when they pop out like that...

But the things that have startled me alot are the poison zombies.. O. M. G.

So right, I am ridin' around on the coast... I see a house.. So I park my buggy and get out. I step in... I hear very slightly that breathing sound they make. "Ohhh man" I say to myself. Crouching, I cautiously make my way around the first floor.. I am relieved to find that he is upstairs...

The stairs are broke, so I pick up a table and prop it up so I can get upstairs. I was so nervous, as I peeked out onto the second floor... There was nothing in the room, but there were still 2 rooms connected... No doors..

I jump up.. I am now officially upstairs.. I listen..
The zombie is in the room on the left.

So I make my way very slowly to the entrance to that room... The breathing gets louder and louder...

I throw a grenade into the room, so it lands in the left part of that left room. BOOM!
Breathing is still there... So I throw one to the right...
BOOM!

Breathing is STILL there... "wtf?" I think.

I creep up to the doorway.. Peek left.. Then right.. The zombie is nowhere to be seen... But before I have time to go in..

MOOOOOOOOAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!

Can you say HOLY ****ING SH**!!!!!!! THE ZOMBIE WAS RIGHT BEHIND ME! HOW THE HELL DID HE GET THERE!?! AND WHY DOES HE WAIT 'TIL HE IS RIGHT BEHIND ME TO MOAN!?!?!? (I think Valve did this on purpose)

I JUMPED higher than I ever have in my life playing a video game. I was killed, because I was literally on the floor of my bedroom, half laughing and breathing very fast... It was one heck of an experience.

Now whenever I hear that moan, it still freaks me out...

Well, he IS "The Strange One". ;)

And yeah, I personally despise the poison zombie. This one time (at band camp...), I was on top of a slated roof, with a poison zombie on lower grounds. He shot a poison headcrab and when it hit me the momentum of it shot me upwards to the roof of an adjacent house which stood higher than the roof I was on. The funny part is that I realized this was the only possible way to reach that roof, since the geometry of the map prevented any direct access to it (even by jumping from any nearby building). And what's best is that I had saved precisely at the moment which the poison zombie threw the headcrab at me, so I could repeat the "poison-zombie-jump" over and over again. It was kinda sweet. :)
 
Actually I Type Like This Without That CAP Adjustment Thing.

It'd Be Soooooo Cool If There Was A Weapon To Control Groups Of Head Crabs, Zombies And Poision Head Crabs/Zombies.. Or If Alyx Could Make The Manhacks Hack Combines..
 
you can throw an gas-bottle at him and wait until he and the headcrabs burn.
 
fast zombies, poisen zombies. manhacks are ok. i just use my shotty. early on, there werent enough to care that much, just used crowbar.


bit OT, but: doom3 not-very spoiler:
the winged babies in Doom3 are the worst IMO. i hate them verily
 
I think manhacks are pretty decent enemies actually, I had a lot of fun in the early levels picking them off with my 9mm.

The poison zombies freaked the hell out of me too, especially that one on Highway 17 on the top floor of the house... shudder...

I hate headcrabs, so hard to shoot and always getting in the way.
 
and i thought i was the only one who jumped on the seat while exploring that same house in Highway 17 . heh.

most hated enemy would be the strider. I like its appearance and animations. But as an enemy... its just too damn tough to beat with just a crowbar. lol. :borg:
 
Yeah I hated that coast house, near the bridge?
There were a couple of poison zombies near there.

I always presumed that poison zombie came from the fireplace or from inside the ceiling, because he's not anywhere to be found, until he's just behind you!
ROAAAAAAAR, hate poison headcrabs so much.
 
zombies of all kinds..

i turned my speakers off in the ravenholme chapter because i was freaked out by the moans and screams and stuff.
 
most of all i hate antlions :angry: damn they always are coming from everywhere, asking me to surrender my last ammo to their nasty huge bodies... ahh...
 
Poison Zombies only redeeming value, in my eyes, are the fact that they die (And don't drop crabs!) if you hit them with a bandsaw blade.

But the fast zombies are worst.
