Your relationship with your parents..

Who of your parents do you have the best releationship with or plain and simple who do you like the most? I myself like my mom most, me and my dad have a horrible relationship we dont like eachother at all..just sometimes but we mostly fight..

pretty much sums up the relationship with my parents

i respect em but they're a bit too old fashioned and aren't as 'forward thinking' or open minded as i'd like them to be.

Never got on much with my family. But then I was a little shit when I was younger and I'm surprised they put up with me, even though they still continue to act like I don't exist to certain relatives.

When you get older though you start to appreciate them more, I get on better with my dad now, sometimes get on well with my mom but its rare.

I get on well with my mum and did get on quite well with my dad, cept I didnt really feel like I knew him fantastically well.

I've always had better contact with my mom, maybe cus my dad wasn't as often at home - especially when I was a kid - and we both have very strong personalities. but since I moved out we get on very well.

I'm getting along with both of them for now. It's bound to go downhill in the coming weeks I'm afraid. I don't think it's uncommon for parents to feel bitter when their child breaks from the path they had laid out for them. Ah well.

I get on pretty badly with both, but slightly better with my mother. They are just against everything I want to do. They throw money at me in an attempt to keep me happy, but they're not behind me for anything. I'd rather have a few words of encouragement from them than money. :hmph:

My Dad died from lung cancer a couple of years ago - three cheers for smoking. My point is just that it's easy not to appreciate someone and then have no chance to reconcile things when they're gone.

They're some pretty important relationships - worth trying your hardest with.

my dad smokes, oof about...60/100 + fags a day... eats fat foods.. hes a mechanic, have 10 cars outside my house, they r there for a year, he works on one a month, usually in bed watching tv...

hes living a good life

I pick my mum, because my dad cheated on my mum when I was about 11, and it was just me and my mum, and my brother who was more and still is a dad to this day. Now my dads back, its weird, I dunno i've kinda lost like half my life with him and its time we can't really make up..

I find it easier to talk about stuff to my mum than I do with my dad, but i kind of have more fun when im with my dad cause we like the same things such as computers..football..tv programmes. Whereas my mum doesnt like all that. But I love them both equally and they are the most important people in my life.

I get on with them both the same i think, its nicer when you are away from home for awhile and you come home and your parents are nice to you. Since my parents seperated i see them less anyway, so when i do see them, i like to think it's cherished by both sides and arguments do not come about. Sometimes with my mother but thats because i live with her when i am home.

I get along with both pretty well now that I don't live at home (not that we were at eachother's throats while I was still at home). Me and my Mum used to argue a bit but now we do that only on the odd occassion. I have my Father's sense of humour though, so it makes it a little easier to relate with him.

:dozey: I dunno I guess I can say I get along with them equally. It's like some things I can go to my mumster or some things I go to my dad. But it's always my mom bugging about school while my dad is more laid back, but when he feels my moms right or needs to take a stand on something of his opinion he lays the smackit down. All in all though my parents are well laid back or sometimes too laid back to the point even myself think they're bad. Like the Saturday that past my dad and I had 3 shots of Skyy Vanilla each, BEFORE him and my mom went out to some older people type club with their pals. I dunno maybe it's his nature because he was a bad boy when he was young too.
