Saw this a while ago, and I approve the crap out of it. It wasn't always a problem for me, but sometimes you get a banana that's just a little past ripe, and the 'end' won't tear without seriously bruising/mushing up the sweet banana goodness inside. Then once you finally pry it open, you have this mass of gross banana pudding to contend with before you can start eating, and the whole thing just looks raped as hell.

Been doing it this way since I saw this, I am now a changed man. Only downside is you have to start with that little black bit, but I usually just bite it out and spit it in the garbage.
