And more importantly a cracked version is out on torrent sites.
I posted this here because I couldn't find an Awesome section and I thought Off topic is the closest.

For all you nooblets who do not know what zbrush is, watch this movie:

Basically it's sketchup for organics. It's in incredibly easy and intuitive program that anyone can easily pick up and use. And make great stuff on their first try within 30 minutes.
Only thing is, you work with an immense amount of poly's so better have a good pc.
Here is some of my work in Zbrush2, I only knew how to add and subtract when I did this, and i was just randomly ****ing around without pre planning.

With Intuos3 tablet I got yesterday

Oh cool, posted that a while back. First video tut ive done, don't think I got any feedback though, helpful?.

I just got it last night, its pwn. I really wanna figure out how to do that texturing stuff with photos in it. But I hardly used zbrush before, and I have no idea on what im doing in it really. I plan on using my Roman character to figure it all out.

Also, gimme that normal map tutorial!

Yeh that's the one, it's a normal map projection tutorial using max 7. Theres also a plugin for generating normals in Z brush providing the mesh has been unwrapped before you import and start detailing it, the plugin might actually be included in 2 and 3.

Aw, max :(

EDIT: Why did they change the move tool!?!? WHY!?!? Anyone figure out how to make it work like it did before?

EDIT2: Oh, they put another thing under the draw mode. "Tweak" does the same thing that move did in 2.0

Nice! It's a really nice tool that I need to spend some more time with. You can really get some nice results with it.

Haha I have the same problems. But it's less resource hungry then zbrush2, which is great since I have an old pos pc.
Still I will continue to use zbrush to simply because I have 2 great training dvd's to teach me it. Today I learned masking, and making a polymesh(something which is easier in zbrush3, and how to smoothe things.
All in all great update in my opinion.

Oh and the tablet makes such a fraking difference in zbrush, goddam does it make a differance. everything is so much easier.

I dont think ive ever used anything but poly meshs in zbrush. I just make my low res mesh in maya, and bring it into zbrush for detailing.

And yeah, tablet + zbrush = win.

Just wanted to show my first model in ZBrush3, I think it took an hour and a half.

It should, it's supposed to be especially suited for high end pc.
Since it works with so many poly's.

Thats why you want to get your hands on mudbox. Mudbox is so much eaiser to use then zbrush. Not that i have spent to much time using it but you can render out your normal map providing you have unwrapped your mesh before hand.

This is ****ing amazing. I started with the sphere and i soon had this really creepy face. I need to play with this more.

Tried it, love the interface. But i can't ever get results as good as with zbrush. Also zbrush is twice as cheap and can do more.

EDIT: Here are the new features
