For those that waited, it's happened. I'm tempted, but it just feels wrong to get it when I already have a perfectly working Lite.
$199, and $179 on Black Friday at Best Buy.

I'm not sure why having a DS Lite is a reason not to get a 3DS. You know it's a new console, right? Just because it's backwards compatible doesn't mean it's just another DS redesign with a few new features.

Rght now I'd just end up playing my old DS games most of the time, $179 isn't really justifiable for me. The only game I want is an old remake, I'll wait for more titles. I'm still tempted though.

Waiting seems to be the smart thing for the 3ds, in less than a year its gotten a $90 price reduction with a nifty new design. In another 6 months it might have a redesign that comes with a better battery at about the same price. Ill wait to see the Resident Evil game before I bother

the 3DS is a current must buy with Super Mario Land 3d, Star Fox 64 3d and Ocarina of Time 3d. Get it. It's only getting better. Although I am bitter I was an early adopter and can't get one of these dope ass Zelda 3DSes.

Yeah there's that battery thing too, I'm totally waiting for an all around better lite version. It's hard to go wrong with late adoption.

Oh man.... that looks so funky! Gutted... my missus asked me earlier today if I wanted a 3DS for my Christmas, and I said no cos a rarely play my DSi that I have already. Now I've seen this, I wanna change my mind!
