Just saw this video over at joystiq and I must say it brought back some great memories of the Zelda games I used to play, but still love.

The videos talk about the story and advances in the story, gameplay and graphics departments. It's a great watch and its got some great footage from each game, even the CD-i games.

This first video talks about the original Zelda game along with Zelda 2. Never played these myself, but I guess some of you have.

Second video is about A Link to the Past and Links Awakening.

This makes me want to go grab my GBA SP and play through ALTTP, never got very far on it, always got stuck on what to do in Ganons realm :(

The third video is briefly about how the CD-i games came to be with the rest of the video being about OOT and MM. Loved this video, really got me in the Zelda mood and reminded me of how much I loved and played these games on the N64. They really were amazing. No question about it. Nintendo got them perfect.

I'll definately be buying OOT and MM on the virtual console on my Wii. I want them in a virtual form so I can play them forever :)

I'm also really excited for Zelda: TP. Getting this with my Wii at launch. Should be great :) Anyone else really looking forward to TP? Share your experiences and memories of Zelda :)

Zelda is just such an awesome game

I'm also getting a Wii at launch and prob gonna take a few days off work

I'm still debating whether or not to get a Wii. Right now, the only two launch games that I know of that appeal to me are Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3, and TP is coming out for the GCN anyway, and after MP2, I'm not sure if I can really trust MP3, especially since it looks like just a mildly polished update. I'll definetly get one when SSBB comes out, but until then, meh.

Might as well get it for the Wii. Least then you can use the new controller with it.

I'll be buying MM on the virtual console for sure too. Never completed that and I never really gave it a chance on the N64. But I did love the hustle and bustle and how everyone had something to do in the world. Not many games have that kind of thing in them.

I remember when I was really young too. Round a friends house on the internet and we saw a "secret" online that if you beat the running man in the race from guerudo valley in under a minute you can get a gold hookshot from him, which in turn you'd use to pull yourself up to the top of the church where you can find the triforce. Of course we believed it being young and such, so we tried so many times to beat him in less than a minute. We never did it, but we came close sometimes. Obviously now I know it was all a load of crap, but was awesome trying to beat the guy.

Always seems like theres so much to do in Zelda games. Love them.

Well I hate to ruin your attitude about launch, but MP3 got delayed 'till '07. On the positive side though, they said beam weapons won't work like they have in MP1&2. Somewhere I read they're going back to the beam stacking like they had in Super Metroid (probably with the option to turn some of them on or off like the Ice beam). This makes a big difference to me because I really didn't like the Dark/light system they had in MP2. MP1 was way better.
