Zeno Clash has received an automatic update via Steam this evening fixing an array of issues which can all be seen here. Also remember, ACE Team are working on free downloadable content for Zeno Clash, scheduled for release in a couple of weeks.[br]Fans of the game will be glad to hear Zeno Clash 2 is planned with a more ambitious goal in mind...
the next game of the series which will continue the adventures of Ghat, who will struggle against new and old conflicts. Father Mother, the mysterious Golem and new characters will be making an appearance in the next title. The story will be set after the events that take place in the first game. ACE Team wants the next installment to be much larger in scope, so the new game will feature open ended gameplay with large explorable environments and RPG elements. The unique melee combat system that made the first game a success will also be expanded to feature even more brutal and engaging gameplay
ACE Team have also put together a nifty post-release trailer for Zeno Clash and those who haven't seen the game before.[br]

I could have sworn I saw them make a statement saying that they were never going to do a game this size again because it was too much trouble for the size of their team...

I haven't played Zeno Clash since launch - has the lock on melee changed at all? I'd check myself but don't have steam on this PC.

Yeah, they did indeed say they didnt want to work on games like this anymore.

ACE Team has decided to focus on smaller and cheaper point-and-click adventure games after the launch of Zeno Clash. It just doesn't have the energy for ambitious ideas any more.

"We're exhausted now that we are reaching the end of the development cycle of Zeno Clash. It's been two hard years of little sleep and a lot of work, so we are announcing that after Zeno Clash we will not continue to develop such ambitious projects," writes ACE's Andres Bordeu in an email.

"Instead, we will focus in smaller titles with shorter development cycles. Our new direction will be point-and-click adventure games."

Although I suppose they have 70% of the assets done by just re-using the ones from the first game.

@ Warbie: I'm pretty sure they addressed that issue with the first major update.

Yeah that was an april fools joke, I posted it in the gaming section too. They designed a basic point and click adventure game saying that was all they were going to focus on.

That's what the majority of respondants wanted, took a look on their forums.

I don't mind so much as long as they keep their frantic combat roots, but we'll see how good ACE team can deliver.
