Pollster John Zogby:

"Is McCain making a move? The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama today, 48% to 47%. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all.

"Obama's lead among women declined, and it looks like it is occurring because McCain is solidifying the support of conservative women, which is something we saw last time McCain picked up in the polls. If McCain has a good day tomorrow, we will eliminate Obama's good day three days ago, and we could really see some tightening in this rolling average. But for now, hold on."

what the hell is Zogby?

Better sauce plox...

Better source? It's a joint poll anyway- Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby Poll. Those are ALL reliable sources.

ZOGBY is a polling company, along the lines of Gallup, etc.

Zogby International is an American market research, opinion polling firm founded in 1984 by John Zogby. The company polls, researches and consults for a wide spectrum of business media, government, and political groups, and conducts public opinion research in more than 70 countries. Zogby International is headquartered in Utica, New York, with offices in Washington D.C., Miami, Florida, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

It's one of the large polling organizations.

My suspicions are growing that you are a bot, posting whatever comes up on drudgereport.

Either way, we'll see. I don't believe anything I read on the internet currently.

"We are engaged to some degree in some artwork and assumption," said pollster John Zogby, whose Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby tracking poll shows Obama leading by 7 percentage points.

Gallup publishes two separate polls based on varying likely-voter models. Its traditional model showed Obama ahead by 2 percentage points on Wednesday, while its "expanded" model, which assumes higher turnout rates among minorities and young people, showed Obama leading by 7 percentage points.

Yeah, Zogby has Obama ahead in the 3day results as well.

It being so close to the election and the weekend now it's tough to call polls, thus the one day poll is surprising (and the first one day one that McCain has pulled ahead in)

Remember, it's the candidate who has momentum when election day comes around (ahead or not) who generally snatches the undecided vote.

You are posting "traditional" voter models, and this election, there is nothing traditional about it.

It doesn't account for the obvious new black voters supporting Obama, or the dizzying boom of youth voters (2 million new voters in my State alone), or women going for Palin.

its "expanded" model, which assumes higher turnout rates among minorities and young people, showed Obama leading by 7 percentage points.

'Simulation Shows Obama Will Win'

"Brian Adams, a mathematics and computer science professor at Franklin & Marshall College, reports that there's a 99.98% chance that Sen. Barack Obama will win the presidential election on Tuesday.

Adams has developed a simulation model that involves running 50 million simulated state-by-state races, using the late-October poll results for each state. He ran his simulation 50 million times to allow him to calculate all the different combinations of electoral votes that might result, even long shots. While the number of possible outcomes is very large, the result is always the same. Obama receives 270 or more electoral votes 99.98% of the time. Using intervals of electoral vote results, there is a 95 percent chance that the outcome will have Obama winning between 303 and 381 electoral votes."

I Got This

If McCain wins I'm going to get an assault rifle and gun down every person who voted for Bob Barr.

"Bryan Adams, a singer and songwriter from Canada, reports that 99.98% of the things he does, he does it for Sen. Barack Obama."

Fixded.

If McCain wins I'm going to get an assault rifle and shoot myself. In the pancreas.

Earlier this year, Zogby told me that "party ID is a lead variable, and a major determinant in how people vote. I apply a weight to party ID, and if I see a reason for it to change, I will."

Still, Zogby's two point party ID advantage for Democrats is the smallest of any polling firm.
...
Zogby's partisan makeup gives even less of a partisan advantage to Democrats than Fox's latest poll, which earned some skepticism, as well.
And if John McCain wins I'm going to get an assault rifle and shoot John McCain.

ONLY JOKING FEDS OLOL

I'm really going to shoot 20 toddlers in some random kindergarten. Or get a nuke and shoot America. There, that's not as bad as a death threat to McCain.

This is once again stupid. One poll, small gain, questionable methodology... that FiveThirtyEight link says it all really. If you look at the most recently released polls (10/31) they're still all pretty blue.

These anti Obama threads are getting out of hand. Most of us already have our opinion on who to vote for. Your propaganda isn't going to make us change our minds.

And I can't wait until Barack Obama wins the election...then maybe I'll make 20 threads about how much McCain sucks.

OMG GUYS. McCain's chance of winning has risen 0.1% to 3.8% in the past week! Should I make a thread about it?
