Zombie Panic Released

who here noticed that the concept is a bit of a knock off from a timesplitters game? I believe it was called virus.
 
OMG! you guys have to try this! :D, probably the most intense hl mod ever :D

I was on this sever where practically everyone was on thier mic's screaming and crapping themselfs :laugh:
But then the server crashed... :angry:
 
lol it actualy gets scarier when you get better weapons cos you cant outrun the zombies anymore :D
 
woa, awesome mod! its actually scary when your being chased by 5 zombies with no ammo left!
 
Haha, this is pretty fun. A couple of maps could use some redesigning though, there are some spots where zombies have to make a man-tower to reach. That can get very annoying sometimes, especially when there's only one survivor left and he refuses to move. Like in Battlegrounds, and that line battle map.
 
Everyone better put some kind of Halflife2.net tag on their names so I know who's ass I'm kicking.

Just played some rounds and what a great mod. I'm a huge zombie fan so this was just plain cool as hell. It's also actually kind of creepy when it's you and a couple guys left and a horde of zombies comes running down the hall and you just know you're screwed.
 
Ive been playin under the name Drake.. too bad the servers are all so unstable cos its so so funny. :D

When the round starts, say its us lot...but suicide is the zombie.
Suicide must use his skillz to kill the humans, once a human dies he becomes a zombie until thier are no more humans :D

so theres only one zombie? can the zombie die? if he can theres not much point in survival mode, you would just kill the zombie and thats it, its over :)

anyway im installing now.. wanna have a game? final fantasy 8 can wait :P

Zombies respawn (there's a set number of lives in the corner), and their health recharges. But with limited lives, it give the survivors the ability to actually win. :)

Unless you're not dealing with competent zombies, you would almost never win...that is the law of zombie attacks.. ;(

It's awesome. I love this mod.

Me and a friend team up, and beat the living poopoo out of the ahnuld-screaming creatures. :P

Although still really unbalanced, I only saw the humans win once (and that was after my brilliant tactic to stock up ammo and build a human tower on the barrels :laugh: ) I mean zombies with 200 hp who constantly regenerate with 5 hp a second?!!
Your helpless without a proper gun.

My suggestions:

- Turn regenerate off. This leads to the tactic of 'ammo drain', ie just peek your head around the corner and the person will shoot, you'll get hit but you'll regenerate, keep doing that until he runs out of ammo and attack.
- The number of 'zombiepoints' (the number which tells you how many zombies can still be killed before you run out of respawns) must go down
- Humans start with 7 bullets and 2 additional clips
- Faster weapon respawn

- And give the humans some objective they can complete to win

I played it, very fun, very unique


The fact that most of the maps are extremly dark help the horrifying ness.

The ammo is really scarce and i'm always the one that ends up with nothing
 
its very fun yes, the zombies need to be a lot slower though, and they shouldnt have reinforcement counter at all, this way you jsut push back hoardes of zombies as long as you can!

Yeah, if I could change 3 things about the game, they would be the following:

- Zombies need to run maybe 10% slower

- No jumping zombies. Sorry but I just think it looks dumb.

- And last, and certainly not least, LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF AMMO/WEAPONS PLAYERS CAN HOLD! It never fails, at the start of a match one guy always gets ahead and get ALL the ammo or weapons he can, regardless of whether or not he has the appropraite ammo for each weapon and so forth, and leaves the rest of us with the shitty pistol. There needs to be a limit somehow.
 
They should instead use classes instead of limiting ammo and weapons..
