Installed it about 10 days ago and already had 34 intrusions?

This anything to be worried about or normal.

any help appreciated.

Connection attempts? Nothing to worry about. Actually 34 attempts in 10 days is very low.
Even if you didnt have a firewall (and zonealarm is a very good one btw) you wouldnt really have to worry about connection attempts, as long as you keep windows up to date and youre not stupid enough to run a backdoor trojan that gets emailed to you.

Ive had zone alarm for a while now and I cant stand it...its so intrusive and causes lock ups all the time because it always prevents my games from accessing the internet and I have to unblock them. Its annoying but Im not allowed to get rid of it because Ill get in trouble from my dad..lol.

BTW Ive had 1142 intrusions since install

thats the whole point of outbound protection.. to stop programs using the internet without your permission

I just turn it off when I play games, other than that I've been using it for years. Its free, and while it might at default be a little paranoid, it sure as hell makes sure your system is secure.

Don't worry about it.

Ive gotten over 100 in a day before.

Use NOD32, it isn't intrusive, and I haven't had any problems on my computer.
