Nihilanth is engeneered by combine?

But if the Vortigaunts where only under Combine oppression for a brief period they wouldn't have had time to kill and assimate them all, there still isn't a finished human synth. (BTW, I'm only played Devil's Advicate here)

hmm, It would seem that Nihilanth has healed since implantation, this could mean that the implants were primitive combine technology and are therefore outdated... it's been atleast 10 years since BM and atleast 40-300 since Nihilanth's implants, depending on the combine's last implant attempt and how long it takes Nihilanth's kind to heal.

It's amazing what you can pull out of your ass when you want to.

No proof buddy, and you're taking random information from nowhere and trying to look like you know what you're saying.

Not really Jintor, it's all simple logic

Kleiner mentions it's been atleast 10 years since the BM incident.

There is NO evidence about How long ago Nihinlanth's implantation was.

Not to mention, IF indeed Nihinlanth escaped from the combine, it would have been a long while back:

1. because he has obviously healed since.

2. And because it would have taken a while to cultivate Xen and refine it into what has now become a factory, habitat, palace and huge ecosystem that is entirely populated by Xenians that are directly related to Nihinlanth.

Ergo I am simply grabbing other facts that are related to each other and putting them together to make sense out of it...

(sorry for double posting)

HAlf a month!! NO response... Oh, I killed My first topic!!! AWesome!!! Sorry everybody... I've never killed a thread before!!!

It's been so long since I saw this thread I forget was I was thinking. I figure though that there's no direct proof about implants and whatever so I'm right. I mean, I can't be wrong, can I?

Right...?

Anybody?

...was just replaying the end of Half Life and I noticed some things about the Nihilanth that I didn't pay attention to before (and didn't find mention of them in other posts). The Nihilanth looks like a stalker version of the Controllers. I don't know about a synth, but think about a stalker when you look at the Nihilanth. He's got similarly amputated legs, skin tone, and comparatively distorted body. I thought I read somewhere that the Combine remove the digestive system as part of the process? Perhaps where the stiches come from? As a controller, his mandibles are noticeably missing, as human stalkers are missing their lips (they just have an O there like he does). Perhaps the little thing he floats on is the equivalent of the leg extensions that the stalkers have bolted to their knees? The Controllers weren't known for walking, so it wouldn't work to put extensions on their knees. Shove a floating chair in there instead. Thoughts?

Yes, he's organic, but not a natural creature. I believe the Nihilanth to be a construct, built by the controllers. The similarity in their look and abilities, the obvious stitches that imply he was sewn together. I've always thought of him as something like a living god that the controllers built, both a leader and a vessel that can harness the massive teleport energies that they cannot.

My take on it since 1998.
