  • You're one to talk, defult settings... But yeah I have no idea how that happend really.
If I come across the videos I used to have regarding UFO's etc. I'll let you know. ;D
Thanks dude, you're the absolute BEST. If I find myself upon an abundance of Korean women here, I'll box some up and international ship them back to Korea so you can procreate. I heard you guys had a baby shortage there or something.
Other ones are difficult for me as well...

I think it's supposed to be pronounced like a d at the beginning of a syllable, and a t at the end of a syllable... but every time it sounds like a t.

And finally this one... which sounds like a p sound all the time, instead of the b that I'm guessing it's supposed to sound like.

I just don't know which way is right... I keep hearing different things in different videos. ARGH!

Anyway I'm not really asking for your help as much as I am voicing frustration... because you're korean... and you have an incredible grasp on english, that maybe you'd have some insight. Maybe.
Well it's not so much that I have difficulty pronouncing the syllables, as much as I do distinguishing between the different pronunciations.

Like take the giyeok(I don't know their names yet... had to look it up).

Damn. So I'm doing pretty good learning the alphabet. The consonants and the vowels, including some of the compound vowels too.

Some of these pronunciation rules are confusing though, and listening to them being pronounced with a thick Korean accent makes it even more difficult.

But... I must say I am loving the fact that other than some irregularities, it seems like a very scientific alphabet and I like that... unlike Chinese or Japanese characters or whatever that seem arbitrary.
Hey numbers. There is a huge Korean community here in the Dallas area where I live. I was contemplating what it would be like to learn the Korean language and maybe... I dunno, steal all of your women living abroad.

Seriously though... do you have any opinions on how hard Korean is to learn compared to other Asian languages or languages in general? Asian languages scare me. Korean seems... different somehow from Chinese and Japanese.
Hey, numbers. I am going to be doing a report for my junior English project about North Korea.

Maybe you can help me when it comes to it.
Do not fear, that thread will be the last of any thread that I make in a state of intoxication or under the influence of psychedelic drugs. I do not wish to take drugs, do not see me taking drugs, and also would like to comment that pharmaceuticals usually do not work on me in their prescribed doses.
    Um. No.

Actually, the thing is that I haven't seen many "mixed" Koreans. Still, I believe its wrong to look down on people for their heredity/ethnicity. See PM for more details. :p
Although I do get the lambda thing (after you said it at least) I really don't understand the reference to myself in this post. Could you please enlighten me?
