For some reason all the Steam games which run on the Half-Life engine seem to give very choppy gameplay and really low framerates.
I have a 2.4ghz P4 Processor
ATi Radeon 9600XT
1024mb RAM
On CS:S (which is obviously much more demanding on my system), I usually get an fps of around...
Apparantly the first release of DoD:S will be with Source enabled effects like water and so forth, but at later updates they will change the models/textures etc.,
Well at the moment I still don't have a clue what the correct information is. It seems rather silly to use the old models and then only have Source features like the water stuff and light sources, but hopefully in an update or a mod it will be a total conversion.

I'd have to agree with Malfunction here; I don't really see anyone wanting to take up the position, but it seems like a nice idea nonetheless.
I severely doubt the people you see who are doing so well are cheating. Headshots seem to be a lot more effective and important CS:S and I think many players are adapting to this. Also I've found that just due to recoil and luck, and perhaps just natural aiming over the years, I've been getting...
