Just Got Visual Studio .NET 2k3!

Well, then I guess it's the same with the full version, but as an academic version AFAIK is a professional version and as I would buy a academic version, the answer helps me much. Thanks! ;)

Just Got Visual Studio .NET 2k3!

No, I really haven't pirated the software. I have the trial and registered me and wondered, if one has to do this with the full version to. I understand, that they only can be sure that the trial is only used 60 days, if people register. But I don't really know why this is necessary with the...

Just Got Visual Studio .NET 2k3!

Yes, but for the game DirectX would be enough, right? He only needed the WinAPI for the Editor, I thought ... but I don't know. ;)

You mean the Win32 API? Why did you had to learn it, isn't it possible with the MFC, too?

    Compilers

I think it isn't harder than other programming languages like Object Pascal/Delphi, Objective-C, ..., but it depends on what you want to do with it. There's no programming language in which it is really easy to make a game like Half-Life 2, by the way. ;) :D

The game looks really very nice! :) How many lines of code does the game have? And how many the editor? Why did you use DirectX 7? How have you learnt that all (DirectX and C++)? I'm always interested in book tips! ;)

    Open Source Compiler

I like KDevelop (with the GCC Compilers) very much. It's IMHO better than VC++!

    Open Source Compiler

I use the GCC. My favorite IDE is KDevelop, I like it more than the Visual C++ IDE (I tried the Working Modell before)!
