ok guys as the title sais I realy need some help now.
first things first I need a tutorial for how to bump map a model in xsi 4.2
second i need a tutorial on how to rig a model with a valve biped skeleton and get in all the counter strike animations
lastly I need help on how to get...
lol ok ive made the low poly model and saved it to a seperate scene but ive run into a problem... I dont know how to work shaders for the shiney efect for the model and I dont know how to make normal/bump maps for it and I cant find eny tutorials please help :(
lol mindless didnt you read what i said "Ok this is not going to be the ingame model ive made this one for normal/bump maps and such so the other one will be much lower poly" I am going to lower the polies in anouther version this one is for NORMAL/BUMP maps. Because there are a hundred little...

Just so you know ive only done a couple other renders so im a total noob at this. Point me to a tutorial for it and ill get right on it :)

Well i thought i new this stuff but I was obvously wrong. Just wonderin isn bump map, normal map, displacement map and parralax map all synonyms for the same thing?

Thats funny i got the impression that a bump map and a normalmap were the same thing.
Also about the poly count I know im not going to be able to get a million of these things on the screen and also if i start sacrificing eny more polies it will start to not look very good...

Well you know how there are blood splats on models (eg. all source games) i was wonderin is it posible to make normal maps like that so when shot it will give the ilusion of being blown apart?
