im 95% sure that's the problem, i bleev u'd have to export from max 8 to some proprietary format that 7 can import.

well i didn't know it was there.. -_- it just hangs while loading the 3 top images & one on the bottom. in that case disregard that then lol

i thot it looked odd too, i think it's the normal map though.. because the side w/out the normal map doesn't look too bad heh. also... i didn't render w/ raytrace... (notice the lack of any detail in the skin :p lol, i figured i'd just let the normal map do the work for me)

mk, my first guess would be that the tga file isn't in the right format or something. i bleev it should be 32-bit & compressed (altho i think using other than 32-bit is ok w/out transparency :/) assuming u have that ok, could be something w/ the qc. i usually just use the compile toolkit so...
