When I try to analyze or defrag my HD, it throws up this msg, and won't let me continue:
"Disk defragmenter has detected that Chkdsk is scheduled to run on the volume: (C:).
Please run Chkdsk /f."
I have run Chkdsk twice. However, it says that "f" parameters have not been specified...
The link to that site was at the bottom of this review, which does state the speeds, so I can only assume it's that card. Besides, if it was lower clocked, it would be a GT(or whatever) rather than a GTX.
Is this site all right?
Up till now the cheapest I've seen a 7800 GTX was at Scan for £329 before VAT, but here comes one for £329 including VAT?

Does anyone here have a Thermaltake Armor or Kandalf case?
If so, is it possible to add a 120mm radiator to the fans at the front of the case?
I am looking to buy the Armor and equip it with a WC system with two radiators.
Is there a console command to make them stay?
I don't really want to go messing about with source code, not with the outrageous re-install time if I screw up, but disappearing corpses really p me off. It's not as iff my comp can't handle them.
Whats the difference between SM 2 & 3.0?
I want to get an ATI card, due to their being better at HL2, but I don't want to lose the effects generated by SM 3.0.
This isn't necessarily a weapon, but its killage related:
Accurate locational sliceage of enemies hit by flying blades. Also, all enemies can be sliced, not just zombies.
But if I had to pick a gun, something with lots of electric arcs and sparks.
Is there anywhere I can get the maps from the HL2 beta for HL2? I've got a few videos from earlier versions of the game, and I'd really like to play in some of the various earlier environs of the game.
Really?
For me, corpses stay, and all debris except Striders disappear if I leave them off-screen 4 a few secs.
In my opinion, corpses' staying and being decaled shud b an option in video settings.
I personally would recoomed u to go with an A64.
They are, for the most part, cheaper than the equivalent Intel models, as well as running cooler and hence being easier to overclock.
Besides that, from what I've seen in various reviews, Athlons are better at gaming than their Intel...
I have the same(ish) problem. In 5.1 mode, no sound comes from the rear speakers, so I can't hear what's behind me. The speakers work fine on everything else.
Normski, do u use mobo onboard sound? I have Realtek AC'97 onboard sound, & think I read somewhere that you need a card like the Aureon...
What's this? Time zone=GMT-8 hours!?
*realizes own stupidity-searches for large hammer to whack self*
Thx guys, I honestly never thought to check the time zone. :p
I'm not sure whether someone's already mentioned this(didn't bother to read all 18 pages), but when I was in Kleiner's lab, I blew up the mini-teleport by porting too many things at once. Strangely, I haven't been able to do it again...
This isn't strictly the same topic, but it seems silly to open a new thread for it:
How big will the download be?
I really want to play Lost Coast, but I'm stuck in the chasm of 56k modem connection hell.
I have a problem with my PC's clock. Time clock that is, not clockspeed.
The problem is this:
No matter how many times I set it to the correct time, when I next use my PC, the hour value is wrong. The minutes are fine, but the hours go all crapped up.
I realize it's a fairly trivial problem...
The detail. The sheer detail.
Things like the Pulse rifle reloading, The sparks bouncing off things, the warped reflections in water, the bubble trail left by bullets speeding through the canal at Gordon.
I was a little disappointed to find that most of the few plants are sprites, but I...
