I think for PR and to clear peoples minds.. Valve should say.
HL2 can be purchased single or multiplayer ready.
Or
A user can subscribe to STEAM for 9.95 per month and play any game made by valve.
Thats what it really is anyways.
yes but there will be a lot of content to keep you playing
that is a way to umm "save" but you would also save if you would have paid for many other valve games.
if its not for you dont buy it... they give you a choice! cant you understand its a choice? no one is forced to buy every valve game. However I would probably go for the 10$ per month considering there are at least 5 games I want to buy that will be comming out in the near future HL2, CS:CZ...
Well they are a company 100 times larger then they were when HL1 came out and now they have their own game engine so they can crank out games left and right.
The had many spin offs to HL come out as well. OPforce, Ble Shift, CZ is comming out soon.
yeah I had 3 daoc accounts at 12.95$ per month for almost a year. Then I tried planetside 12$ and swg 15$. And with those games you gotta dish out 50$ for the games too.
It is not complicated.
You can:
a) buy HL2 just like any other game in the store
b) pay 9.95 per month and play any and every valve game. (one open at a time on your personal STEAM account)
If you choose (a) you will get HL2 and all HL2 patces/updates
If you choose (b) you will get...
I dont see a thread on this yet.. sorry if there is one

The main man at Valve Software, Gabe Newell, has a chat with me about a little game you might have heard of... HALF-LIFE 2...
This could go on forever.
I didn't say you were an idiot. Nor do I think you are. You may even be a good person in real life. I said here in this forum you are not backing up your opinions with facts and reasons. Instead you are saying everyone who doesn't agree with you is dumb. I think...
