Ya, I have same problem. I freeze up in HL2 in the exact same spot every time two seconds after I load it. In counterstrike I can play dust, dust 2, and italy perfectly, but all of the other maps freeze up. It doesn't make any sense. Also for some reason in my BIOS I can't change anything...
