You got it, Darthlife. .sav doesn't go in the maps folder, it goes in the SAVE folder. .bsp files go in maps, and folders with a .info.txt text file go into your addons. And yeah...I think it's because they're not official, they're Third Party.

When there's a folder with a notepad called "info.txt" in it, that folder goes in the addons. DId you put that one in your addons?

Just been playing on some of my maps which I downloaded from the internet. Problem is: Some maps can't let you use some SWEPS. When I try to use them on the top right corner of the screen, blue writing says "Attemps to compare nil with number" and the swep doesn't even fire. Can someone help?

You just put it in a notepad in your cfg folder right? (sorry I am REALLY stupid)

Okay. I always try to remember a little guide I made up.It helps me know where things go. ------------------------- If there is a notepad called "info" and at least a few files, it goes in the addons. If there are only a few folders and they have the same name of those in the garrysmod folder...

I've just started Gmod 10 a while ago...and I was just wondering if I can create my own NPCs. I've seen some on Garrysmod.org but I don't know how to make any. Can someone help? Thanks. If no one knows how, it's okay. :D
