I have looked at a bunch of benches and the X1800XT beats the X1900GT in just about every one. Both of these are 256mb and I can get them for about the same price. Whichever one I pick will be my card for probably 2 years or at least 1.5 so what I am wondering is how much to you think the 36...
It will not support the new features of DX10. It isn't something a driver update can change, it's a hardware thing that must be built into the card to support DX10. It will be able to play the games but it will be in DX9 mode.

I assumed it would the amps and everything look nice but when I mentioned it in another forum I was told it would not run an X1800XT. So seeing as I was just about to order the card and psu, I thought I'd double check here. This...
With AMD's recent price cuts, you can get an Athlon 64 and motherboard for a pretty cheap price now. Check on newegg, I think you can get an Athlon 64 3000+ or 3200+ for $90 and then get a decent PCI-E mobo for like $50 or something. I don't really look at motherboards much so someone else could...
Yeah I thought 90 days would be enough, the card isn't old enough to have been around that long, and right when I get it I can check for overheating/artifacts and stuff. If I don't have any of that, I think it should be ok. Also so far with the reseller ratings forum, the thread I made has been...

I found it through froogle, and I have to say this price looks too good to be true even if it is a refurb. It doesn't seem to be listed wrong or anything, they have another refurb somewhere that asks for a price quote. I checked the site out...
I'm wondering how the X1900GT will do with that cheap version of the X1900XT since a lot of the GTs are really in the $300 range and would not perform as well. I'm thinking maybe we'll see their prices drop.

Mmm GDDR4 memory. And I have say that cooler just looks awesome. Supposedly they modeled it after HIS's ICEQ coolers which will be much better compared to those things they call coolers on the X1800/X1900 cards.
I think it does have whatever manufacturer warranty came with it. It says that open box products are tested by the original manufacturer. They guarantee open box products for 15 days, so I guess I could return it if it was DOA. The other thing is that open box products don't usually come with...
Well I'm gonna assume that it is the dual 12v rails and I think I might buy it. My predicament was that I have a strict budget and the X1800XT was just within reach, but my psu wouldn't be able to run it. If I could get a psu this cheap I might be able to get the XT instead of the GTO. I think I...
I think in the description it does call it the Truepower 2.0. Also it is listed as having only 18A on the 12v rail, which isn't much better than the 17A on the one I have now. But when looking up the same model on newegg, it was listed as having dual 12v rails each listed at 18A which would be...

I'm planning on getting a new videocard and if I can really get a psu that cheap that can run an x1800xt I just may be able to get one. But I need to know if this is too good to be true, I've checked with newegg and the two products look...
I have that motherboard and it works fine for me. I got it because I needed to upgrade from my old P4 2.2ghz and got the A64 I have now. I also wanted to have PCI-E for when I upgrade my videocard but I couldn't at the time so I found that mobo. I still have my 9800 pro in it and it's working...
Well the fast memory is somewhat misleading because it's 128-bit whereas the X800GTO has 256-bit memory. Some would say get the X800GTO because you might be able to unlock 4 more pipes and effectively make it an X800XL. But there's never any guarantees with that. I would get the X1600 Pro...
