I like kerry, because he's smart, a good portion of the US prefers an easygoing guy to someone who actually understands foreign policy.
for now, kerry hasn't really hit his stride. bush is doing pretty well, but i just feel like everything he says is a lie.
Now bush is talking about how...
I imagine the squad combat will be similar to the squad combat in Freedom Fighters, which is to say amazing.
Freedom Fighters ranks as one of the best gameplay experiences I have ever had.
i think this strengthens valve's position in a way. if they make a large number of sales and commitments to deliver HL2 via steam, then they have built up a customer base that is loyal to steam.
That makes steam seem like more of a part of Valve's business and less an interesting idea.
Hi -
I've been playing a lot of CS: Source, and I think i've determined something about how HL2 (and all source games) can seem to have so much cool realtime reflection (on guns etc.) without taking a huge rendering hit.
It has to do with environment maps. An environment map is...
I've made a group of images. the first is the game, 1152x864, max settings. 16X AF, 6X AA.
The Second is medium everything. noAA, no AF, Trilinear filtering.
The third is low everything. Bilinear.
I don't know if anyone else noticed... there's a bunch of new stuff in the ravenholm clip, and and part of it involves the player picking up a barrel without the manipulator, tossing it, then shooting it to kill some zombies... and did anyone notice how awesome the headcrab ragdoll was?
