After contacting Dell it was a bad memory module. I opened the notebook and it has a 64MB module and a 32MB module. 32MB module was bad...I'm gonna recommend getting more RAM for this customer especially since it's a PIII laptop "Designed for Windows XP". It shouldn't be running such slow ram...
A guy brought his Dell Latitude laptop in for me to look at...I boot it up and see the error message "Memory module is out of date. Strike the F1 key to shutdown."
Has ANYONE ever seen this message? Google, Yahoo, ask.com has nothing!
You could get a new drive and try to copy the data or try putting the drive into the freezer for 30ish minutes. I read that putting a drive in a freezer can give the drive one last push to obtain the data. But I'd try the first thing first.
I have around 21 on startup. Have 23 now with AIM, IE, and a video editing program open. Running NOD32 Antivirus, I love it. I disabled dumb start up items (msconfig) and disabled uneccessary services (services.msc). The words in the () you type in the Run dialog box to get to the items...
I think it's kinda stupid. This means the M4, AK, Deagle, MP5 will soar in price. I'm sure this includes flash and HE nades. I just don't like a "economy" thing in an FPS. Sure put an economy in WoW or Guild Wars...but CS? C'mon now.
I liked it. I'd see it if they made a movie out of it. Some stuff will def. need to be cut for movie length, but it'd be kinda nice to see a HL movie made. DOOM was...OK I guess but they could've done better (actually made it hell attacking other than a stupid gene)
Yea it's not ugly, lol. BTW for the Creative Card...saw this i iexbeta.com

I haven't had any bugs or blue screens (crosses fingers). I'm very impressed with Vista. I'm a tech guy so I don't have many complaints since I can figure out things on my own. But I gotta admit that a noob may have a lil bit of trouble.
Windows Vista RC1 is out on Connect :bounce: . I just downloaded it from the Newsgroups and am extracting the ISO to burn as I'm typing this. Hooray for RC1, I've read great reviews for this AND that games run as fast as they do on XP.
Yes, but I [B]THINK[B] that I read somewhere that 16-bit apps were not able to be used/played on Vista. I think 16-bit sublayer was removed from Vista. Hence I found this link which says so...
