HL:S is in the retail collector's edition actually...
Dod:s is, but HL:S isn't...but it's available in retail anyways. I'm guessing that DOD:S will be available for either free or cheap to retail owners over source when it comes out anyways...that would make the most sense.
Yeah, it's been discussed a few times here, but I think that it probably has a bit more relevance now than most of the other times it's been mentioned. I'm sure some people will appreciate it!
sp? single player? If you mean HL2 single player, then no, there's no HL2 mention...
But I have a feeling you mean some other sp that I'm going to feel stupid for not realizing when you tell me...oh well...
Ok guys, I just got home and checked my mail and what did I find? The November PCGamer... Here's the low down:
Quake 4 is the big story, nice long article, cool screen shots (including some big outdoor areas)! I haven't read it yet, but it looks pretty in depth. They're calling it the...
My guess is that the contracts give Vivendi the exclusive rights to publish the retail game worldwide. This seems to be the way that those sorts of contracts go. Valve most likely would have retained the online distribution rights. Whether this was a bargaining point when the contract was...
I was kind of surprised that I didn't see any articles like this for Doom 3. Most of the mainstream articles were pointing out how impressive the graphics were and, sure, they mentioned the level of gore, but the understanding seemed to be that it was geared towards adults.
Can anybody...
I've got the exact same problem! I haven't been able to figure out a way around it other than the jumping trick you mentioned. It's very strange.
I also had a similar problem to the original poster's. I started up the game once and noticed that as the tram moved through Black Mesa, every...
Thanks so much for that post Feath! I've been trying to stay pretty optimistic and your post should silence all the whiners in other threads. Not literally silence them, of course (they'll always make something out of nothing to moan over), but at leasts, now, they should be easier to ignore...
But there is an apostrophe in "There's."
C'mon somebody find a problem in my post, I want to keep this thing alive!
EDIT: And I only noticed that an hour and a half after everyone else!
Well, he saw them about 3 weeks ago, but figured that he would post that they were new just for the heck of it...
Actually, my guess is that he saw them for the first time today and decided to share his find. Oh well, they are cool pics to look at again!
Nice, I'm glad you reposted...I had stumbled across this at work and then when I got home I couldn't find the link...of course, now I'm at work again, so I can't play, but I'm e-mailing myself the link this time!
Lesson learned!
That's quite the sacrifice you're willing to make there! :P
I'll probably end up pre-ordering, but not until a week or so before release, when all the facts about the CE are known...
When you do a search for "secret" on the media page's source code, there are references to a /secret/thumbnails/lambda.gif and a /secret/thumbnails/lambda.jpg in addition to the mouse-over image and the link to the second test entry form.
I couldn't find these images on the site but after...
Here's the file that was supposedly embedded in that image. I'm pretty sure it's nothing and that cryptobola is not the tree we should be barking up...
